Industrial Product Designer / CAD Engineer for Brass & Ceramic Ritual Box
Worldwide
I am looking for a product/industrial designer to develop the technical design of a small, premium frankincense ritual box from an existing concept. I already have the core idea, proportions and visual direction. I need someone to help translate the concept into a clear, manufacturable product design rather than redesigning it into something overly decorative. Product concept A low, rectangular brass/bronze ritual box designed to hold everything needed for a simple frankincense ritual. The internal layout is intentionally calm and symmetrical: Central ceramic burning chamber — the visual and functional heart of the object Coal compartment on one side Frankincense compartment on the other side Concealed match storage beneath the central burner Simple removable/lift-off lid A single centered cylindrical-rectangular slot/groove in the lid, aligned exactly with the center of the ceramic burner The object should feel like a timeless ritual instrument, not a storage organizer. Design direction The design language is: Function before decoration Simplicity and restraint Natural/material honesty Warm minimalism Human scale Good proportion and balance Craftsmanship Durability and repairability Visual quietness Timeless rather than fashionable Think of an object that could naturally exist in an intentional, beautifully lived-in home for decades. What I need from you Please develop: Accurate top, front and side views Detailed internal layout Longitudinal and cross sections Exploded assembly drawing Ceramic burner design and dimensions Lid and centered slot detail Match-storage mechanism Internal partitions and assembly method Material and thickness recommendations Manufacturing approach for a small initial production run Basic tolerances and fit considerations Recommendations for making the design easier and more economical to manufacture The exact dimensions should be developed intelligently, based on the actual size of charcoal, frankincense, matches and ceramic burner rather than simply copying the proportions of my sketch. Important I am at the concept → prototype stage. I want someone who can look at my rough sketches and say: “This is what needs to change to make it physically work.” Please don't add unnecessary decorative details. I value good engineering, proportion, material understanding and restraint more than visual complexity. I will provide my sketches and visual references. The final outcome should give me something I can take to a prototype maker/manufacturer with confidence. Experience with small-batch premium products, brass/metal fabrication, ceramics, product detailing and physical prototyping is preferred.
