Informatica Developer

Role Summary We are seeking an Informatica Developer to join our Data Engineering team. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of hands-on experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines using Informatica, strong SQL skills, and working knowledge of Google BigQuery and Shell scripting. Responsibilities • Design, develop, test, and maintain ETL/ELT workflows using Informatica PowerCenter and/or Informatica Cloud. • Author complex and optimized SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, validation, reconciliation, and reporting. • Integrate and process data in Google BigQuery and support data warehousing activities. • Develop and maintain Shell scripts to automate data processing, job orchestration, and operational tasks. • Perform data mapping, transformations, data quality checks, and ensure data consistency across multiple source systems. • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to ETL workflows, data pipelines, job failures, and data quality incidents. • Perform performance tuning and optimization of ETL mappings, workflows, and SQL queries. • Collaborate with Data Engineers, Data Architects, Analysts, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver scalable data solutions. • Create and maintain clear technical documentation for ETL processes, data flows, and operational runbooks. Requirements • 5+ years of professional experience in Informatica development (PowerCenter and/or Informatica Cloud). • Strong hands-on SQL skills including complex joins, subqueries, CTEs, window functions, aggregations, and query optimization. • Practical experience working with Google BigQuery or similar cloud data warehouses. • Proven experience with Shell scripting for automation and operational tasks. • Solid understanding of ETL/ELT concepts, data integration patterns, and data warehousing principles. • Familiarity with relational databases and data modeling concepts. • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities. • Ability to work independently in a remote environment and collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams. • Good communication skills for working with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Nice to Have • Experience with other GCP services (Dataflow, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub) or multi-cloud environments. • Knowledge of dimensional modeling and data modeling best practices. • Experience with ETL scheduling, orchestration, and monitoring tools (e.g., Airflow, Control-M, Autosys). • Familiarity with version control (Git) and CI/CD practices for data pipelines. • Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams. • Informatica certification(s) or cloud platform certifications.
