We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Instructional Designer to join our growing team. Role Overview As an Instructional Designer, your primary responsibility is to design and develop theory materials and curriculum-aligned question banks for Science subjects (Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Earth and Space). You will work closely with our team to create engaging, accurate, and well-structured learning resources that support student learning progression. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys educational writing, thinks critically about how students learn, and is comfortable incorporating AI tools into their workflow to improve productivity while maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy. Typical responsibilities include: • Design and develop curriculum-aligned theory materials. • Create engaging question banks with scaffolded questions and fully worked solutions. • Apply our writing standards, templates, and formatting guidelines. • Use AI tools to assist with drafting content, research, and resource development while ensuring all work is reviewed, verified, and meets company quality standards. • Collaborate with the Project Manager and teaching team to continuously improve learning resources. The role requires someone who is highly detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of independently delivering high-quality academic content. What You’ll Do • Develop lesson materials, theory booklets, and instructional content aligned with WA curriculum standards (SCSA, WACE, ACARA) • Build question banks with scaffolded, engaging questions and fully worked solutions • Follow and apply provided templates, SOPs, and style guides consistently • Continuously improve resources using feedback and emerging AI technologies. Ideal Candidate You should have: • A degree in Science, Education, or a related discipline. • Previous experience in curriculum development, tutoring, instructional design, or academic writing. • Strong understanding of Year 7 to Year 10 Science subjects (Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Earth and Space). • Familiarity with the Western Australian curriculum (SCSA, WACE, ACARA). • Excellent written English and exceptional attention to detail. • Confidence using or willingness to learn AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) to assist with educational content development. • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
