Investor List Creation for Acquisition

We are looking for an experienced M&A / investor research freelancer to build a comprehensive, high-quality list of potential acquirers and investors for UK manufacturing businesses. The objective is to identify investors that have a genuine track record or clear investment mandate for acquiring UK-based manufacturing companies. What you’ll do Research and identify relevant PE firms, family offices, strategic/corporate buyers, search funds, and other investment groups Identify investors with a track record of investing in or acquiring UK manufacturing businesses Use databases and research platforms such as: Capital IQ PitchBook FactSet Venture Intelligence Other relevant M&A/investor databases Research each investor's: Investment focus Sector preferences Typical deal size UK activity Recent acquisitions/investments Relevant portfolio companies Contact details where available Validate the information and remove irrelevant or duplicate investors Deliver the research in a structured Excel/Google Sheets format Ideal candidate You should have experience in M&A research, private equity research, investor mapping, deal sourcing, or investment banking. Strong candidates will have: Access to Capital IQ, PitchBook, FactSet, Venture Intelligence, or similar databases Strong research and analytical skills Excellent attention to detail Ability to distinguish genuine potential acquirers from generic investors Experience researching UK and European investors Familiarity with PE, M&A and corporate acquisitions Deliverable A comprehensive, clean and validated investor/acquirer database that can be used directly for acquisition outreach.
