Lulu Designs is an artist-led fine-jewelry studio and retail shop in Mill Valley, California. We photograph jewelry, custom projects, model imagery and lifestyle content in-house. We are looking for a reliable remote contractor to handle jewelry photo post-production, file naming, digital asset organization and Shopify product-page production. This is a detail-oriented execution role, not a creative-director or web-development position. The right person will help move projects from raw photography through organized, approved assets and completed Shopify product-page drafts. RESPONSIBILITIES Jewelry and Model Photo Retouching * Edit product, model and lifestyle photography in Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom * Correct exposure, white balance, contrast and color * Remove dust, fingerprints, scratches and distracting reflections * Clean backgrounds while preserving natural shadows * Retouch skin naturally without changing the jewelry * Maintain accurate gemstone, metal and product colors * Crop and resize images for Shopify, social media, email and advertising * Export high-resolution masters and appropriately sized web files * Follow established examples and written brand standards * Complete revisions accurately and efficiently AI-Assisted Editing We encourage the thoughtful use of AI-assisted editing tools when they improve efficiency and image quality. AI may be used for approved tasks such as masking, background cleanup, dust removal, skin retouching, noise reduction, sharpening and resizing. The contractor must know how to isolate, mask and protect the jewelry before applying AI-assisted edits. AI must not: * Re-render, reconstruct or redesign the jewelry * Change gemstones, prongs, bezels, chains, clasps or textures * Change metal or gemstone colors * Invent reflections, facets or product details * Distort proportions * Reduce resolution, sharpness or fine detail * Replace original jewelry pixels with inaccurate generated content A non-destructive workflow using layers, masks, smart objects and preserved master files is required. File Naming and Digital Asset Management * Rename files using product names, SKUs, project names and image-type conventions * Match photographs to the correct products and Shopify records * Organize raw files, working files, approved masters and web exports * Maintain a clear and consistent folder structure * Separate approved images, alternates and archived files * Identify duplicate, missing, unidentified or incorrectly matched assets * Maintain a tracker showing what has been received, edited, reviewed, approved and delivered * Deliver organized folders that are immediately understandable to our team * Follow naming and organization procedures consistently Shopify Product-Page Support * Create and update Shopify product-page drafts * Upload, arrange and format approved product images * Enter information supplied by our team, including titles, descriptions, prices, SKUs, tags, variants, materials and dimensions * Complete SEO titles, meta descriptions and image alt text using approved information * Check pages for missing images, specifications, pricing or copy * Apply established product templates and formatting standards * Maintain a tracker of draft, review and completed product pages * Make revisions following internal review * Coordinate with our web developer when technical assistance is required The contractor may not publish products, change pricing, edit the website theme or make technical changes without written approval. WORKFLOW AND COMMUNICATION TOOLS The contractor must be comfortable using: * ClickUp for assignments, project briefs, deadlines and task updates * Slack for team communication, questions and progress reports * Claude and ChatGPT for approved workflow assistance * Google Drive and Google Sheets for assets and project tracking * Shopify for product-page production * Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom for image editing AI tools may help organize information, prepare approved metadata and check product-page completeness. All AI-generated work must be verified. AI may not invent product details, materials, gemstones, pricing, dimensions, care instructions or marketing claims. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS * Advanced Adobe Photoshop skills * Strong Lightroom or Camera Raw experience * Professional product-retouching portfolio * Excellent file-naming and digital-asset-management skills * Proven Shopify product-entry experience * Professional experience with ClickUp and Slack * Practical experience using Claude and ChatGPT * Strong written English * Exceptional attention to detail * Ability to follow SOPs, reference images and naming conventions * Reliable communication and deadline management * Experience with shared cloud-based file systems * Stable internet connection and ability to handle large files securely * Ability to communicate promptly when information or assets are missing PREFERRED EXPERIENCE * Jewelry, gemstones, watches, beauty or luxury-product retouching * Shopify stores with large SKU libraries * Ecommerce image preparation * Canva and social-media asset preparation * Digital asset libraries * SEO metadata and product-page quality control WORK STRUCTURE * Remote contract position * Approximately 10–20 hours per week initially * Opportunity for ongoing work * Applicants may be located anywhere * Some availability during Pacific Time business hours is required * Progress updates and accurate time tracking are required PAID TRIAL PROJECT Finalists will complete a small paid test that may include: * Retouching three to five jewelry or model photographs * Using AI-assisted tools while protecting the jewelry * Naming and organizing files according to our instructions * Exporting files in specified formats and dimensions * Matching images to the correct products * Creating one Shopify product-page draft We will evaluate image quality, jewelry accuracy, organization, communication, turnaround time and ability to follow instructions.
