Job Search and Application Assistant — US Nonprofit Sector

Hello! I am a freelance nonprofit grant writer and fundraising specialist. My work involves helping US nonprofit organizations raise money through grants, funder outreach, and other fundraising strategies. I am looking for an experienced virtual assistant to help me find and apply for remote positions in nonprofit fundraising and development. Relevant job titles include Grant Writer, Development Associate, Development Specialist, Development Manager, Fundraising Manager, and similar roles. I want someone who already understands the US nonprofit sector and can identify positions that genuinely fit my experience—not simply submit generic applications based on keywords. **Responsibilities** * Research remote nonprofit fundraising, grant writing, and development positions that match my experience * Evaluate and rank opportunities based on fit, compensation, and likelihood of success * Tailor my résumé and cover letter for individual positions using approved master documents * Prepare application forms and draft responses to application questions * Submit applications after receiving my approval * Maintain an organized spreadsheet showing opportunities, deadlines, application status, and follow-up dates * Draft brief follow-up messages to hiring managers when appropriate **Required qualifications** * At least two years of experience working directly with US nonprofit organizations, nonprofit consultants, or nonprofit job applicants * Strong understanding of US nonprofit fundraising and development roles * Demonstrated experience editing and tailoring résumés and cover letters * Excellent written American English * Strong research skills and careful attention to detail * Ability to follow instructions without inventing or exaggerating information **Preferred qualifications** * Experience helping clients search and apply for jobs * Familiarity with applicant-tracking systems and major nonprofit job boards * Experience with nonprofit fundraising, grant writing, or prospect research **Compensation** The selected candidate will begin with a paid three-week trial of approximately 10–15 hours per week. In addition to hourly compensation, the assistant will receive: A $25 bonus for each qualified prospective client they independently source who attends a scheduled call with me A $100 bonus if one of their sourced prospects signs a paid consulting agreement If the trial is successful, there may be an opportunity for continued work and expanded responsibilities at a higher negotiated rate. Future responsibilities may include researching prospective nonprofit consulting clients and assisting with personalized outreach, but these tasks are not part of the initial trial. **How to apply** Please include: 1.
