Job opening: Video Editor – 50-Lesson Online Course for Families (Fixed Price Per Lesson, Long-Term Contract) Description: We are an online education brand launching a creative skills development course for families – children aged 8-14 learn alongside their parents. All video footage for the 50 lessons has either already been filmed or planned. We are looking for an editor who can transform raw footage into finished lessons with a predictable weekly rhythm and a consistent style across all 50 lessons. This is not a one-off project. A pilot project will begin, then a full contract, and then likely ongoing work on short videos. Scope of work – per finished lesson (3-12 min): Editing from 1 angle with a talking head + screen recording; Cutting pauses, unnecessary words, and retakes; Cutting based on meaning, not just the waveform. Syncing and multi-layered screen recording (picture-in-picture and full-screen where necessary). Zoom in and zoom in on key UI elements. Accurate English subtitles — embedded and provided in .SRT format. Lower thirds, on-screen labels, and callouts from our template. Light color correction; Audio cleanup, levels normalized to -14 LUFS. Requirements: 1+ year of experience editing educational content with talking head and screen recording. Fluent in English to accurately create subtitles and edit for comprehension. Reliable productivity: [25] completed lessons per week. Ability to work with a written style guide with timelines. Willingness to sign a non-disclosure agreement. Video footage includes a minor on camera and may not be reused, published, or added to your portfolio without written permission — no exceptions. Preferred: Experience with children's or family content; animated subtitles; thumbnail design. Hiring Process: Apply below. Screening → Paid Test: One live lesson, [$10] fixed price, ~[2] minutes of video footage. Payment is due regardless of whether we continue. Full contract for 50 lessons, in 5-lesson increments. Terms: Fixed price per completed lesson—suggest your own. Two rounds of revisions included. Payment is due within 48 hours of approval. Your fixed price per completed lesson in the volume specified above. The number of lessons per week you can realistically teach and your time zone. The software you will use. Start your sentence with SPROUT so we know you've read it. A major advantage would be the ability to edit VOD shorts and reels for social media in a more creative way. This is roughly the level of editing we'd like to see https://drive.google.com/file/d/1qr7X2dYUuz-lnY7vPkBAzTt2ad-l2f1n/view?usp=drive_link
