Responsibilities and Accountabilities: - Translate creator IP into premium merchandise concepts that capture character identity, audience appeal, and fandom relevance. - Own the end-to-end merchandise design process, from concept development through production readiness. - Develop production-ready artwork, technical specifications, and design documentation for manufacturing partners. - Ensure all merchandise designs meet quality, brand, and production feasibility standards. - Work independently, interpreting creator and stakeholder feedback to refine concepts while maintaining creative integrity and alignment. - Communicate effectively with manufacturers through internal platforms, applying training and guidance provided by senior designers. - Maintain strong, collaborative relationships with manufacturing partners to support product quality and execution. - Maintain consistency across product lines while adapting designs to diverse creator brands and audiences. - Manage multiple tickets, timelines, and deliverables in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. - Support product launches through the timely delivery of design assets and documentation. - Apply knowledge of creator economy trends, emerging design directions, and evolving product development techniques. - Collaborate closely with the Senior Designer and Merchandise Design Lead to ensure clear communication, documentation accuracy, and successful execution. Requirements: - Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain accurate files and documentation - High attention to detail and commitment to quality - Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop - Ability to create production-ready artwork and support product development under the guidance of senior designers - Capable of interpreting client and stakeholder feedback and applying revisions to improve designs while considering brand goals and production requirements - Developing understanding of manufacturing capabilities, materials, construction methods, and category-specific production requirements - Ability to create 3D product concept sketches, including multiple views, to communicate design intent to internal and production teams - Interest or experience in toy, plush, collectibles, consumer products, or other 3D merchandise design - Experience through internships, freelance work, academic projects, or professional work with creators, brands, or licensors is an asset - Completed post-secondary education in illustration, animation, graphic design, fashion design, visual arts, or a related field with strong illustration or 3D design experience - 1–2 years of relevant design experience (internship, freelance, or professional experience considered) - Interest in creator communities, fandom culture, and digital entertainment, including gaming, streaming, animation, and online conten
