Junior Performance Marketing Strategist
Worldwide
This is a contract-to-hire role. We are hiring a permanent team member, and we're using a paid 60–90 day trial to get there. Read that first, because it determines whether you should apply. We are not looking for a freelancer stacking clients, and we are not looking for someone building their own agency on the side. We're looking for someone who wants a home — one team, one mission, for years. If you want to be your own boss, this is the wrong post and we'll both save time. What this actually is Kyber is a revenue execution and attribution firm. We work as fractional CMOs and CGOs for scaling brands, reverse-engineering revenue goals into campaigns and holding execution teams accountable to them. You would work directly with Jay, our founder, on campaign strategy across our client portfolio. Not Kyber's own marketing — our clients'. Multiple accounts, multiple verticals, live budgets, real revenue targets. This is a seat next to a senior operator, every day, on real accounts. You'll sit in on the strategy, build the work, get it torn apart, rebuild it, and watch what happens when it goes live. Most people spend five years to get the reps you'll get in one. That is the offer, and it's the main reason to take this job. You will not be writing ad copy or building campaigns in-platform. Our specialists and ad managers do that. Your job is the thinking that goes in front of it, and making sure it survives contact with execution. The arrangement Trial — 60 to 90 days 30 hours per week at $30–$40/hr, depending on experience. Roughly $900–$1,200 per week. On conversion — permanent, full-time 40 hours per week at $40–$50/hr, roughly $1,600–$2,000 per week, or about $83,000–$104,000 annually. The trial is not an open-ended audition. It has a defined end and a defined next step, and the step is significant. What you'll actually do Build campaign architecture off client revenue goals in 90-day sprints, working through it with Jay before it goes to the execution team. Pressure-test media strategy from our Advertising Managers across Google, Meta, and Connected TV. Ask the questions that catch problems before spend does. Live in the dashboards. Pacing off, creative falling flat, targeting too broad — you spot it, you raise it, you bring a recommendation with it. Keep campaigns moving across designers, media buyers, and project managers. If something gets dropped, you pick it up or make sure someone does. This is about responsibility, not fault. Turn weekly performance into clear briefs — CTR, CPL, ROAS, CAC — that connect the tactics to what the client actually cares about. Leads, clicks, and video views are not the scoreboard. New revenue in the client's account is. What this is not Not writing copy or building ads in Meta or Google Not managing people Not client-facing daily — you'll join strategy calls Not reporting for the sake of reporting Not a role where you're left alone to figure it out. You'll have direct access to the founder every day, and you're expected to use it You're right for this if you Have 2–4 years in performance marketing, in-house or agency Have hands-on exposure to Google Ads and Meta Ads, enough to read an account and know what you're looking at Are comfortable in Google Analytics and a spreadsheet Can look at a number moving the wrong way and form a theory about why Take direct feedback well and don't need it softened Want to be coached, and want to be doing this work in ten years Are bothered by inconsistent formatting Bonus Exposure across multiple verticals or account types Sales experience Familiarity with conversion tracking, Google Tag Manager, or attribution tools Can explain an attribution model to a fifth grader Logistics Remote. Core overlap 10am–5pm EST, Monday–Friday. U.S. time zones strongly preferred. You'll work with Jay directly, alongside Advertising Managers, campaign specialists, creatives, and account strategists. How to apply Detail matters here. It's how we show clients we understand their business. Begin your proposal with the last three words of this sentence: "a long time ago in a galaxy…" These should be the first three words you write, with nothing before them. Two paragraphs on how you think about strategy versus execution. One paragraph on what you're looking for in an employer, and why a long-term seat matters to you. One campaign you worked on that went well, and what your part in it was. One campaign that didn't work, and what you learned. Attach your resume and LinkedIn. Template proposals get archived unread.
