Junior Product Designer for UX Testing and Bug Reporting

We are a SaaS company building a multi-platform product ecosystem for designers and creative professionals. Our products currently include: - A website for browsing and managing creative assets - A desktop application for more advanced workflows - Plugins and extensions for platforms such as Figma, VS Code, Cursor, Adobe Express, Framer, Miro, Lucid, Google Slides, Google Docs, Google Sheets, and more We are looking for freelance product, UI, or UX designers to use our products in realistic, everyday design tasks and help us identify bugs, confusing interactions, and usability issues. IMPORTANT: This is not a traditional QA role. We are specifically looking for designers who can evaluate the product from a real user’s perspective. You do not need extensive QA experience, and junior or early-stage designers are welcome to apply. We are looking for people who can begin testing immediately. What You’ll Do - Use our website, desktop application, and plugins as part of realistic design workflows - Complete everyday tasks such as searching for assets, downloading or inserting them, organizing content, and working inside supported design tools - Identify technical bugs, broken interactions, visual inconsistencies, confusing workflows, and other UX issues - Record and submit issues using Jam.dev - Provide clear steps explaining what you were doing when the issue occurred - Explain why an interaction felt confusing, inefficient, or unexpected - Include screenshots or recordings when reporting an issue - Retest reported issues when needed - Share practical suggestions for improving the product experience Who We’re Looking For - A practicing or aspiring UI, UX, product, graphic, or digital designer - Comfortable using tools such as Figma, Adobe applications, Framer, Miro, Google Workspace, or similar creative platforms - Able to evaluate a product from a designer’s perspective - Observant and attentive to small visual, interaction, and usability problems - Able to clearly explain what happened, what you expected to happen, and why something felt incorrect - Comfortable recording bug reports using Jam.dev - Available to begin testing right away Junior designers, design students, and early-career designers are encouraged to apply. Helpful but Not Required - Previous experience testing websites, applications, plugins, or design tools - Familiarity with macOS and Windows - Experience working across different browsers - Previous experience writing bug reports or providing structured product feedback Technical QA experience, automated testing experience, and programming knowledge are not required. Deliverables - Test assigned products and integrations through realistic design tasks - Submit valid bug and UX issue reports through Jam.dev - Include clear reproduction steps, expected behavior, and actual behavior - Provide screenshots or recordings showing the issue - Distinguish between genuine product issues and personal preferences - Provide actionable UX feedback based on your experience using the product When applying please include: 1.
