# Junior Web Developer — React / PHP **Pay:** $15–$25/hour, depending on experience **Position:** Part-time / Flexible **Work Arrangement:** Remote **Experience Level:** Junior / Entry-Level ## About the Role We are looking for a **Junior Web Developer** to join our development team and help build, maintain, and improve websites and web applications. This is a hands-on role for someone who understands modern web development and is comfortable learning quickly, using AI-assisted development tools, and figuring things out independently. **Vibe coding is absolutely OK.** We care more about your ability to produce working, maintainable solutions than whether you write every line of code from scratch. ## What You'll Work With * React / JavaScript * PHP * HTML / CSS * APIs and integrations * WordPress and PHP-based websites * Git / GitHub * Basic databases and SQL * Responsive web development * AI coding tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, etc. * Troubleshooting existing websites and applications ## What We're Looking For You don't need to know everything. You **do need to be able to figure things out.** Ideal candidates: * Have working knowledge of **React and PHP** * Understand HTML, CSS, and JavaScript * Can read and modify existing code * Can troubleshoot problems without needing step-by-step instructions * Are comfortable using AI coding assistants * Can take a task and work toward a completed solution * Understand basic Git/GitHub workflows * Pay attention to details * Communicate clearly and ask questions when genuinely stuck * Are willing to learn new technologies and frameworks ## Vibe Coding / AI-Assisted Development We encourage the use of AI tools to improve productivity. You may use ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar tools to: * Generate code * Debug errors * Research unfamiliar technologies * Refactor existing code * Build components * Write documentation * Automate repetitive development tasks However, **you are responsible for understanding, testing, and validating the code you submit.** Copying AI-generated code without understanding what it does is not sufficient. ## Typical Tasks Depending on experience, you may work on: * Building React components * Modifying PHP applications * Creating and updating WordPress sites * Fixing website bugs * Connecting APIs * Creating forms and integrations * Improving website performance * Implementing new website features * Updating existing code * Testing and troubleshooting * Working with databases * Building internal tools and automation ## Compensation **$15–$25/hour**, based on experience and demonstrated ability. We are more interested in **what you can actually build** than how many years you've been coding. A junior developer who can independently solve problems and deliver working code can progress quickly.
