Kitchen and Bath Designer

Are you the kind of designer who can look at an empty room and immediately envision a magazine-worthy kitchen that is not only stunning — but perfectly tailored to how that family actually lives? If so, we want to meet you. We are seeking a highly talented, award-winning-caliber Kitchen & Bath Designer to work with us on a contract or hourly basis as an independent contractor. This is a 100% remote position — but you will be very much a part of our team, collaborating via screen sharing and video calls during US Eastern Time Zone business hours (preferably 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM ET). What You'll Do Kitchen & Bath Design (Primary Focus) • Design beautiful, fully functional kitchen and bathroom layouts tailored to each family's unique lifestyle and functional needs • Develop stunning, photorealistic 3D renderings that bring designs to life for client presentations • Demonstrate deep knowledge of cabinet construction — including cabinet box types, face-frame vs. frameless styles, door profiles, drawer box construction, and interior drawer organization add-ons (pull-outs, dividers, peg systems, etc.) • Create detailed kitchen and bath elevations, plan views, and specification documentation • Work closely with clients and the QCS team via screen sharing sessions and video calls to walk through designs, gather feedback, and refine concepts • Optimize layouts for traffic flow, ergonomics, appliance placement, plumbing, and electrical considerations • Stay current on cabinet manufacturers, hardware trends, countertop materials, tile options, and industry innovations Schematic Design (Expanded Scope — for the right candidate) • Assist with residential floor plan layouts, door swing placement, and architectural space planning • Provide schematic design support with a solid understanding of functional residential space planning principles • Demonstrate knowledge of standard US residential construction methods, including framing, structural considerations, window/door rough openings, and typical construction documentation Client Collaboration & Communication • Present design concepts to clients with clarity, enthusiasm, and confidence • Communicate fluently in English — both written and verbal — with the ability to explain technical design decisions in a way that excites and educates homeowners • Actively listen to client lifestyle needs and translate them into designs that are both beautiful and perfectly functional • Maintain a positive, enthusiastic, can-do attitude in all client interactions About Us At Quality Construction Services (QCS), our motto is simple: "We are dedicated to Quality Craftsmanship and Superior Customer Satisfaction."
