Klaviyo Technician (Long-Term, Part-Time to FullTime) — DTC Email & SMS Agency About Us We’re Momentum Marketing Labs, a fast-growing email and SMS marketing agency working with DTC brands across supplements, apparel, wellness, faith-based and lifestyle categories. We manage a portfolio of Klaviyo accounts and run the full retention stack for our clients: campaigns, flows, segmentation, list health and reporting. We’ve grown at least 30% month-on-month since launch and we’re now building out the operations side of the team. This role is the backbone of that. Strategy and design are handled. We need someone who owns the technical execution inside Klaviyo so nothing slips. This is not a “send a few emails a week” gig. You’ll be the person who makes sure every campaign goes out on time, every flow is built properly, every segment is right and every client account stays clean. If you love being the reliable, technical person that a team leans on, keep reading. What You’ll Be Doing Campaign scheduling Schedule every campaign across all client accounts using our exact naming convention (we’ll give you the system and a walkthrough — you follow it to the letter, every time) Set the correct send times, audiences, exclusions and UTMs for each send Double-check every campaign before it goes live: links, subject lines, preview text, segments, mobile rendering Flag anything that looks off before it becomes a client problem Slicing and building emails from Figma Take approved email designs from our design team in Figma, slice them correctly and build them into Klaviyo Make sure images are optimised, alt text is added, links are mapped correctly and everything renders cleanly across desktop and mobile Test sends to the team before scheduling Segmentation Build the full segment set when we onboard a new client (engaged, unengaged, VIP, buyers, non-buyers, subscription vs non-subscription, suppression segments and more) Add and adjust segments as client strategy evolves Keep segment logic clean and consistent across accounts Flow builds Build all client flows in Klaviyo from our briefs and designs (welcome, abandoned cart, browse abandonment, post-purchase, win-back, sunset, subscription flows and custom builds) Set up triggers, filters, splits, delays and A/B tests correctly Test flows end-to-end before turning them live and QA existing flows when we spot issues List cleaning and account hygiene Run a monthly list-cleaning process on every client account: suppress unengaged profiles, manage bounces and spam complaints, and keep deliverability healthy Keep sending domains, sender reputation and DMARC/DKIM/SPF status in check Keep accounts organised: tags, folders, naming, archived assets Klaviyo support Be the point of contact with Klaviyo Support whenever an account has an issue (integration problems, deliverability issues, bugs, feature questions) Log tickets, chase them and report back to the team with clear updates Client reporting Create bi-weekly performance reports for each client using data from Hiro Analytics and Klaviyo Pull the numbers, present them clearly and flag anything worth the strategy team’s attention Bringing technical knowledge to the team You know Klaviyo deeply. We want you to actively share that: better ways to build, new features worth using, integrations we’re missing, faster workflows Help us document processes so the team gets sharper over time Requirements Proven Klaviyo proficiency. You have built flows, segments and campaigns inside Klaviyo for real ecommerce brands. You know your way around the platform without needing hand-holding. Please share examples or screenshots of your work. Available Monday to Saturday, starting 9am local time. This is non-negotiable. We schedule around a set working window and need you present during it. Team player and responsive. You reply to messages in Slack quickly, you communicate proactively and you keep the team updated without being asked. Handles pressure and asks for help. Deadlines will be tight some days. We need someone who stays calm, gets it done and speaks up early when they’re stuck. If we constantly have to chase you to find out whether work has been done, this will not work out and the contract will be terminated. We say this upfront so there’s zero confusion. Responsible and punctual. You own your tasks from start to finish. Deadlines are deadlines. Able to think and adapt. Briefs won’t always cover every detail. We want someone who uses judgement, spots problems and comes with a suggested fix rather than just a question. Technical Klaviyo knowledge you can bring to the team. Integrations, event tracking, dynamic content, conditional splits, deliverability best practice, Shopify sync. You know it and you can teach it. Comfortable with Hiro Analytics (or able to pick it up fast) for bi-weekly client reporting. Confident pulling emails from Figma. You know how to slice, export and rebuild designs accurately. Strong written English for Slack communication and reports. Accepts the fixed monthly rate. The rate is set and non-negotiable. Willing to go through a trial period. Every hire starts on a trial. No exceptions. Willing to complete a short unpaid assessment. Shortlisted candidates will be given a practical Klaviyo task (in a test account) so we can see how you actually work before we hire. It’s short, it’s not client work, and it’s the fastest way for both of us to know if this is a fit. If you’re not open to that, please don’t apply. Nice to Have Experience working inside an agency managing multiple client accounts Shopify and WooCommerce knowledge SMS experience in Klaviyo (compliance, quiet hours, opt-in flows) Familiarity with Australian compliance requirements (ACMA / Spam Act) Experience with Slack, Notion and Google Workspace How We Work All communication runs through Slack, with a dedicated channel per client Every task has a clear brief, an owner and a deadline We use a documented naming convention and process for everything, and we expect it followed exactly We give direct feedback and expect the same in return We’d rather you ask a “dumb” question at 9:05am than deliver the wrong thing at 5pm Compensation and Trial Period Fixed monthly rate. The monthly rate for this role is set and is not negotiable. It’s stated in the listing. Please only apply if it works for you, and please don’t pitch a different number in your proposal. Trial period for everyone. Every hire, no exceptions, starts on a paid trial period. During the trial you’ll work on real client accounts under close review. If the work is on time, accurate and communication is strong, you move to the long-term contract. If not, we part ways at the end of the trial. What We Offer Long-term, stable work with a growing agency (we are hiring for years, not weeks) Steady volume across multiple client accounts Clear systems, briefs and support from a strategy and design team Room to grow into a senior operations role as we scale Direct access to the founders How to Apply To make sure you’ve read this properly, start your application with the word “Segment”. Then include: 1. A short overview of your Klaviyo experience: how many accounts you’ve worked on, what kinds of brands, and what you’ve built (flows, segments, campaigns) 2. Screenshots or a Loom walkthrough of Klaviyo work you’ve done (blur client details if needed) 3. Confirmation that you can commit to Monday to Saturday, starting 9am your local time, and what your local timezone is 4. Your experience with Figma-to-Klaviyo email builds 5. Any experience with Hiro Analytics or similar reporting tools 6. Confirmation that you accept the fixed monthly rate and the trial period Applications without the keyword or the details above will not be considered. We’ll shortlist quickly. Shortlisted candidates will complete a short unpaid Klaviyo assessment inside a test account. Pass that and you start on the trial period.
