LMS Course Design Consultant — Canvas Review

We are an online professional development platform serving interpreters, translators, and other language professionals. We have developed a series of e-learning courses built on the Canvas LMS and are seeking an experienced instructional designer or LMS specialist to review our course content and structure against current best practices. What We Need We are looking for a consultant to conduct a focused review of our existing Canvas course content and provide actionable feedback on the following areas: • Course structure, navigation, and learner experience within Canvas • Alignment with instructional design best practices (e.g., clear learning objectives, logical content sequencing, appropriate assessment design) • Use of Canvas-native features (modules, quizzes, assignments, progress tracking) • Accessibility and mobile-friendliness of course materials • Recommendations for improvement, prioritized by impact Ideal Candidate • Proven experience with the Canvas LMS as an instructional designer, course developer, or e-learning consultant • Familiarity with adult learning principles and online course best practices • Ability to provide a clear, written review with specific, actionable recommendations • Experience in continuing education, professional certification, or workforce training is a plus Deliverable A written consultation report summarizing findings and prioritized recommendations, delivered within an agreed-upon timeframe.
