Landscape Architect / Landscape Designer for Long-Term On-Demand Collaboration

We are an architectural and engineering design firm looking to build a long-term working relationship with an experienced landscape architect or landscape designer to support us on ongoing residential and commercial projects on an as-needed basis. We are looking for someone reliable, creative, detail-oriented, and responsive who can assist with landscape design scopes for different types of projects, including new construction, remodels, additions, outdoor living areas, site improvements, planting layouts, and permit-related landscape documentation when required. Scope of Work May Include: - Landscape concept design - Planting plans - Hardscape layout and design - Outdoor living area design - Site and landscape improvement plans - Irrigation layout coordination, if applicable - Material and finish recommendations - Plant palette recommendations - Landscape renderings or visual presentations - Coordination with architectural, structural, civil, and MEP drawings - Preparation of drawings suitable for client presentation, contractor coordination, and permit submittal when needed - Revisions based on client comments, team coordination, or city/agency comments Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate should have experience with: - Residential and/or commercial landscape design - California-style landscape design, drought-tolerant planting, and outdoor living spaces - Coordination with architects, engineers, contractors, and homeowners - Preparing clean and professional drawings - Working from architectural site plans, grading plans, surveys, and reference images - Understanding basic code, permit, and agency requirements related to landscape design - Providing practical, buildable, and aesthetically pleasing design solutions Software Skills Preferred: Please mention which software you use, such as: - AutoCAD - Revit - SketchUp - Lumion - Enscape - Photoshop - Illustrator - Land F/X - Any other landscape design or rendering software Working Relationship: This is not for one single project only. We are looking for someone we can work with long-term and bring into our projects whenever landscape design support is needed. Work will be assigned on a project-by-project basis. Some projects may require only a simple planting plan or concept layout, while others may require more detailed landscape design, renderings, or permit drawings.
