Landscape Designer — 2D Plans + 3D Renders for Luxury Residential (Ongoing)

We're a luxury landscaping and hardscape company and we're growing faster than our design capacity. We need a freelance landscape designer to join us on an ongoing, project-by-project basis. THE ROLE Our field crews visit a property and come back with photos, a narrated walkthrough video, rough measurements, a plat, and the client's wish list. Your job is to turn that raw material into a landscape design plan so beautiful the client says yes on the spot. You are the design production engine. We handle the sales, the site visits, and theinstall. You make it look extraordinary on paper and on screen. WHAT YOU'LL DELIVER FOR EACH PROJECT - A scaled 2D color plan (planting + hardscape) with a full plant schedule: botanical and common names, quantities, and container sizes - 3-4 photorealistic 3D renders, including one arrival/curb view and one from inside the home looking out at the new space, plus a dusk view showing landscape lighting - Everything laid out on our branded template - Print-ready PDF, high-res JPGs, and native source files - One round of revisions included Typical project: half-acre to two-acre residential property. We care about the output, not your toolchain. Whether you work in SketchUp + Lumion, Vectorworks Landmark, DynaSCAPE, Realtime Landscaping, Rhino, Blender, or something else entirely, we're interested. AI tools in your workflow are welcome and encouraged for speed and render quality — with one rule: AI does not pick plants. We'll give you a pre-approved regional plant palette, and every plant you spec comes from it. WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR - A portfolio with RESIDENTIAL work where you produced both the plan and the renders - Renders that look like photographs, not video games with real shadow depth, believable plant material, natural light - Comfortable designing from field photos and rough measurements rather than a formal survey. This is how we work and it won't change. - Genuinely good taste.
