Launch Existing Law Firm Website with Clio Grow Integration and Lightweight Publishing System

Project Overview We are a New York law firm preparing to launch a newly designed website. Here is the PREVIEW site files: preview-lawfirm-csl.netlify.app The website’s HTML, CSS, JavaScript, page designs, content structure, and custom intake form have already been created. We are not looking for a redesign or a large CMS implementation. We need a developer to review the existing files, prepare the website for production, launch it, connect the intake form to Clio Grow, and create a simple publishing function that allows our staff to add articles and related content without editing raw HTML. Website Goals The website should: * Attract prospective clients through SEO and AEO * Showcase our attorneys, personality, experience, and legal content * Present the firm as capable of handling multiple practice areas * Allow us to add new articles and practice areas over time * Make it easy for prospective clients to contact the firm Scope of Work 1. Review and Prepare the Existing Website Review the current HTML, CSS, JavaScript, images, content, and folder structure. Identify and correct: * Broken links * Missing files or images * Mobile display problems * Navigation inconsistencies * Obvious performance issues * Problems that could interfere with deployment GitHub and Hosting Setup Set up the website in a private GitHub repository owned by our law firm. Deploy the website through Netlify, Vercel, or a comparable static hosting platform. The setup should include: * Live production website * Staging or preview website * Automatic deployment from GitHub * SSL certificate * Custom domain connection * Basic rollback capability * Administrative control for the law firm 3. Domain and DNS Configuration Our domain currently supports Google Workspace email and ClickFunnels landing pages. The developer must: * Review existing DNS records before making changes * Preserve all email-related records * Preserve SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records * Preserve existing ClickFunnels pages and subdomains * Avoid changing nameservers unless necessary and approved * Document any DNS changes 4. Lightweight Content Publishing Function A key part of the project is creating a simple publishing system that allows a nontechnical staff member to add new articles without editing HTML or working directly in the website code. We do not need a large CMS, database, or drag-and-drop website builder. The publishing function should provide a basic form or editing interface where the user can enter: * Article title * URL slug * Page description * Practice area or category * Featured image * Article content * Frequently asked questions * Related pages or articles * Call to action After the content is entered, the system should automatically: * Create a properly formatted article page * Apply the existing website design * Generate the appropriate URL * Add the article to the correct practice-area or resource section * Update relevant article listings * Add appropriate internal links or related-content sections * Include the page in the XML sitemap * Apply the proper title, description, headings, canonical URL, and structured data * Publish the article through the existing GitHub and hosting workflow The interface can be built using a lightweight solution such as Decap CMS, Pages CMS, TinaCMS, a limited CloudCannon configuration, or another practical file-based system. We are open to recommendations, but the solution should: * Be simple for our staff to use * Work with the existing static website * Avoid a traditional database where possible * Avoid unnecessary complexity * Keep the website fast * Store the content in files owned by the law firm * Allow another qualified developer to understand and maintain it * Avoid locking the law firm into one developer or proprietary system 5. Expandable Practice-Area Structure The website should make it reasonably easy to add: * Practice-area hubs * Individual service pages * Attorney profiles * Articles and FAQs * Navigation links * Related-content connections Adding a new practice area should not require rebuilding the entire website. The developer should create reusable templates or components for these page types where practical. 6. SEO and AEO Foundation Configure or verify: * Proper heading structure * Unique page titles and descriptions * Canonical URLs * XML sitemap * Robots.txt * Clean URLs * Breadcrumbs * Internal linking * Image alt text * Crawlability * Appropriate structured data * Prevention of staging-site indexing The publishing system should automatically apply these elements to new articles wherever practical. 7. Clio Grow Intake Form Integration A custom intake form has already been created as part of the website project. Securely connecting this form to Clio Grow is an important part of the assignment. The integration should: * Send submitted information into Clio Grow * Keep credentials and API tokens out of the public website code * Create the appropriate contact and lead records * Send the correct practice-area information * Preserve source, page, campaign, and UTM information where available * Work properly on mobile devices * Include spam protection * Clearly confirm successful submissions * Provide a backup record or notification * Prevent leads from being silently lost * Include error handling and logging * Address duplicate-contact handling 8. Testing and Launch Before launch, test: * Desktop and mobile layouts * Major browsers * Navigation and links * Images * Intake form * Clio Grow data flow * Lightweight publishing system * Creation and publication of a test article * Phone and email links * Sitemap and indexing settings * Structured data * Page speed * Basic accessibility * DNS and email continuity 9. Documentation and Training Provide: * Website deployment instructions * Instructions for publishing and editing articles * Instructions for adding a basic page or practice area * A summary of the hosting and DNS setup * Documentation of the Clio Grow integration * A short recorded walkthrough for our staff Deliverables The completed project should include: * Website files in a law-firm-owned private GitHub repository * Live production website * Staging or preview website * Working deployment process * Lightweight article-publishing interface * Reusable article and practice-area templates * At least one test article published through the new system * Working Clio Grow intake form integration * SEO and AEO technical setup * Written documentation * Recorded walkthrough Proposal Information Requested Please provide: * Your tentative start date * Your ballpark time to complete the project * Your ballpark fixed price or cost range We are looking for a practical developer who can launch the existing website, provide a simple way for our staff to publish content, securely connect the intake form to Clio Grow, and leave us with a system that is understandable and maintainable.
