Lead Video Editor: Decoded Genius (Podcast)

About the role Decoded Genius is hiring a Lead Video Editor to own our entire post-production pipeline. This is a leadership position: you'll set the editorial standard for the channel, direct a team of editors, and be the final hand on every video before it goes live. If you take pride in a clean cut, a polished grade, and a smooth-running team, this role is for you. What you'll do * Lead the editing team. Assign work, set deadlines, and keep the pipeline moving. You're the point person for quality and consistency across every video. * Assembly. Build the first assembly edit from raw footage, syncing audio, camera switching, structure, pacing, and story. * Color & sound. Grade footage for a consistent channel look and mix audio to a clean, broadcast-ready standard. * Keying/compositing. * Taking Feedback on Frame.io. * Team communication via Slack. Coordinate daily with editors — assignments, questions, and status updates. * Final render. Deliver the finished master  * Upload to channel. Publish to YouTube with correct titles and thumbnails What we're looking for * Proven experience editing long-form (Podcasts) * Strong command of a professional NLE (Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro) * Solid color grading and audio mixing skills * Confident with keying/compositing * Experience running review cycles in Frame.io * Comfortable leading a team and communicating clearly in Slack * Reliable, deadline-driven, and detail-obsessed Take a look at our channel here: https://www.youtube.com/@decodedgenius
