Licensed Mental Health Professional Needed for Content Review — Divorce Psychoeducational Guide Project Overview We are developing OVERCOMING DIVORCE, a short English-language psychoeducational guide for adults navigating divorce and separation. The manuscript is approximately 8,000–10,000 words and is part of OVERCOME — Short guides for life's hardest transitions, an independent educational publishing platform focused on creating concise, practical and responsible resources for people facing difficult life transitions. The guide is not psychotherapy, medical treatment, legal advice, or a substitute for professional mental health care. We are looking for a qualified mental health professional to perform an independent Professional Content Review before publication. This is not primarily a proofreading or copyediting assignment. We need an experienced professional to evaluate the manuscript for psychological accuracy, responsible psychoeducational guidance, safety, appropriate professional boundaries, and consistency with generally accepted good practices regarding divorce, separation, family conflict and co-parenting. IDEAL PROFESSIONAL PROFILE We are particularly interested in professionals with one or more of the following credentials: LMFT — Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist LCSW — Licensed Clinical Social Worker LMHC — Licensed Mental Health Counselor LPC — Licensed Professional Counselor PsyD — Doctor of Psychology PhD — Licensed Psychologist / Clinical or Counseling Psychology Equivalent internationally recognized mental-health credentials may also be considered, particularly when accompanied by current professional registration, substantial relevant experience, or authorization to practice in the United States. Preference will be given to professionals with demonstrated experience in one or more of these areas: Divorce and separation Marriage and family therapy Co-parenting High-conflict divorce Relationship breakdown Family transitions Grief and loss associated with relationship endings Emotional regulation Boundaries Psychoeducation Child and family well-being during divorce Experience reviewing educational materials, books, courses, patient resources or mental-health content is highly desirable. Excellent written English is required. CREDENTIAL VERIFICATION Because the professional review may be acknowledged in the published work, the selected reviewer must be willing to provide sufficient information for independent verification of professional credentials. This may include: Full professional name Professional designation State or jurisdiction of licensure Current license or registration number Professional registry or licensing-board information Professional website or institutional profile, when available We will independently verify credentials before any professional-review credit is published. We will never publish private identification documents or confidential personal information. The reviewer's name and credentials will only be publicly acknowledged with the reviewer's explicit authorization. SCOPE OF THE REVIEW The reviewer will receive the complete English manuscript. The primary objective is to identify anything that should be: APPROVED — Appropriate and psychologically reasonable. REVISED — Generally appropriate but requiring clarification, qualification or more precise language. REMOVED — Potentially inaccurate, misleading, unsafe or inappropriate. SOURCED — A statement or recommendation that should be supported by a credible professional or scientific source. REFERRED — A situation in which the reader should be directed toward appropriate professional assistance rather than relying on self-directed guidance. You are not expected to rewrite the entire manuscript. We are looking for professional judgment, targeted corrections and clear recommendations. AREAS REQUIRING PARTICULAR ATTENTION Please pay particular attention to the following areas: 1. Emotional Adjustment After Divorce Review guidance involving: anger; guilt; sadness; anxiety; loneliness; rumination; rejection; attachment; emotional triggers; desire for revenge; acceptance; rebuilding routines and identity. Identify any language that could inadvertently resemble diagnosis, treatment or an unsupported therapeutic claim. 2. Boundaries and Communication Evaluate recommendations involving: communication with a former spouse; delayed responses; emotional boundaries; digital/social-media exposure; unnecessary contact; conflict management; personal responsibility; distinguishing boundaries from attempts to control another person. Please identify recommendations that require additional qualification. 3. Children and Co-Parenting This is a particularly important part of the review. Evaluate content concerning: keeping children outside adult conflict; avoiding the use of children as messengers; avoiding questioning children for information about the other parent; speaking about the other parent; maintaining stability and routines; age-appropriate explanations; loyalty conflicts; emotional burden on children; recognizing when a child may need professional support; functional co-parenting after separation. Please flag any statement that could be inappropriate, overly broad or inconsistent with responsible child/family guidance. 4. Abuse, Violence, Stalking and Coercive Control Please carefully review all situations in which the manuscript discusses boundaries, communication, emotional triggers or interaction with a former partner. We want to ensure that ordinary divorce/conflict guidance is never presented as appropriate for situations involving: intimate partner violence; threats; stalking; coercive control; psychological abuse; harassment; child-safety concerns; other significant safety risks. Please identify places where stronger safety exceptions or professional referrals should be included. 5. Exercises and Practical Activities The book contains short: reflection exercises; practical exercises; Two-Minute Resets; “Your Next 24 Hours” actions. Please evaluate whether these exercises are reasonable for a general adult audience and identify anything that could be psychologically inappropriate, potentially harmful or unsuitable for self-directed use. 6. Professional Boundaries Please evaluate whether the manuscript clearly distinguishes between: psychoeducation / self-directed educational guidance and psychotherapy / clinical treatment / professional mental-health care. We want the book to be useful without overstating what a self-guided educational resource can accomplish. SPECIFIC QUESTIONS TO ANSWER At the end of the review, please provide concise answers to the following questions: Are any statements psychologically inaccurate, potentially misleading or excessively categorical? Are any exercises potentially inappropriate or unsafe for self-directed use? Are the sections involving children and co-parenting consistent with responsible family guidance? Are abuse, violence, stalking, coercive control and severe emotional distress handled appropriately? Are there situations where stronger recommendations to seek professional assistance should be included? Is the distinction between psychoeducation and psychotherapy sufficiently clear? Are there any therapeutic, psychological or behavioral claims that should be removed, softened or supported with additional evidence? Are there important evidence-based considerations about divorce adjustment that are materially missing from the guide? In your professional opinion, after implementing any recommended corrections, is the manuscript appropriate for publication as a general psychoeducational resource? EXPECTED DELIVERABLES We expect three simple deliverables. Deliverable 1 — Annotated Manuscript Review the manuscript using comments, tracked changes or another clear annotation method. Mark relevant passages using, where useful: APPROVED REVISE REMOVE SOURCE REFER Briefly explain significant concerns. Deliverable 2 — Professional Review Summary Provide a concise summary, approximately 1–3 pages, covering: Overall assessment Main strengths Main concerns Required corrections Recommended corrections Safety considerations Professional-boundary considerations Final publication recommendation The report does not need to be academic. We need clear, practical professional feedback that can be implemented efficiently. Deliverable 3 — Final Review Statement After we implement the required corrections, we may send the revised manuscript back to you for a brief final confirmation. If you are satisfied with the final version, we would like a short factual statement confirming the scope of your work, such as: “I reviewed the manuscript Overcoming Divorce for psychological accuracy, responsible psychoeducational guidance, safety considerations, and appropriate professional boundaries.” Exact wording can be agreed upon with the selected professional. This statement does not require you to endorse the product, guarantee outcomes, or establish a therapist-client relationship with readers. PROFESSIONAL CREDIT Subject to your approval and satisfactory completion of the review, we may invite you to be credited in the publication as: Professional Content Review: [Full Name], [Professional Credentials] or another accurate title mutually agreed upon. We will not describe the book as “approved,” “certified,” “endorsed,” or “recommended” by you unless you have expressly agreed to that specific language. Your professional credentials will never be used to imply an endorsement beyond the actual scope of the work performed. ABOUT THE MANUSCRIPT Title: OVERCOMING DIVORCE Series: OVERCOME Series tagline: Short guides for life's hardest transitions. Approximate length: 8,000–10,000 words Language: English Audience: General adult audience experiencing divorce or separation Format: Digital guide / paperback + complementary guided audiovisual experience The book is organized around four questions: What is happening to me? What do I need to accept? What can I control now? What do I do next? The editorial philosophy is practical and intentionally restrained: Less theory. More clarity. Less motivation. More action. The manuscript does not present itself as therapy. PROJECT BACKGROUND OVERCOME is being developed as an independent educational publishing platform for people facing difficult life transitions. The project is led editorially by a journalist, editor and educational-content producer with extensive experience developing and editing books and educational content in health and wellness-related fields. The platform is being designed around four principles: responsible research; editorial clarity; lived experience; appropriate professional review. The selected reviewer will provide the independent professional-review layer for this edition. AI-ASSISTED DEVELOPMENT DISCLOSURE The manuscript has been developed through a human-directed editorial process that includes AI-assisted drafting and editing. The final content is being independently researched, edited and submitted to qualified human professional review before publication. Please apply only if you are comfortable reviewing AI-assisted editorial content. We are specifically seeking independent professional judgment rather than automatic approval of the manuscript. Critical feedback is welcome and expected. TIMELINE Preferred turnaround: 24–48 hours after receiving the manuscript. Please indicate clearly if you require additional time. A short second review of the corrected manuscript may be required to confirm that major requested changes were implemented appropriately.
