We are seeking an experienced, meticulous editor to perform line editing and proofreading for a completed non-fiction manuscript (~49,000 words total). The focus of this edit is to improve flow, clarity, sentence structure, and overall readability while maintaining the author's voice. You will also correct any grammatical, spelling, and punctuation errors, as well as ensure formatting consistency. Editorial Guidelines & Requirements: Native Speaker: Must be a native US English speaker. Spelling & Style: US English. Style Guide: The Chicago Manual of Style (CMOS). Delivery Format: Strictly Microsoft Word (⁠.docx⁠) using Track Changes. (No Google Docs). Confidentiality: A standard Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) will be required prior to the start of work and sharing of the full manuscript. Project Milestones & Budget: Total Fixed Price: $150 (Split into 2 Milestones) Milestone 1 ($75): First ~25,000 words line-edited and proofread. Milestone 2 ($75): Remaining ~24,000+ words line-edited, proofread, and final polish.
