On-Location Food Photography for Hand-Pulled Noodle Restaurant (Berlin)
Worldwide
Overview We're Wen Cheng, a hand-pulled noodle brand, and we need a new food photography library for our franchise locations. The images have one job: make anyone who walks past a poster hungry for our Biang Biang noodles. Food is the hero — the people and the mood make it crave-worthy. The shoot takes place on location in one of our Berlin restaurants, with dishes freshly prepared by our own kitchen. Images will be used for posters, menus, social media and delivery platforms across all franchise units for several years. Scope of work Food heroes (majority of the shoot): steaming bowls shot close and tight; the chopstick lift with wide belt noodles mid-air and visible steam Macro texture: belt-noodle surface, glossy chili oil, fresh toppings Signature Biang Biang noodles plus bao buns and further dishes from our menu People craving: real people mid-bite — joy, steam, sharing a table. Natural and unstaged, diverse faces, genuine appetite Mood and place: warm interior energy, signage, the buzz of a walk-in spot — without stealing focus from the food Details and cut-aways: chili-oil pour, ingredient close-ups, textures for menus, social and delivery Retouching of the selected images Delivery of RAW files plus retouched TIFF/JPEG Look & feel / technical requirements Appetite first: warm, punchy, fresh — never cold, never greasy. Golden noodles, red chili oil, fresh greens Close focus, shallow depth of field, real steam, bold contrast Authentic and a little street — not sterile studio-perfect Orientation: vertical first (posters are portrait), with safe 1:1 and 16:9 crops Composition: clean negative space at top or side for headline and logo Resolution: minimum 300 dpi at A1/A0 Colour: natural white balance — golden noodles, red oil, fresh greens, no cold casts Please avoid: cold or blue lighting, dried-out noodles that have been sitting, cluttered or messy tables, over-styled or fake food, any competitor logos or branding in frame. References A detailed one-page briefing with reference shots is attached — it shows the exact direction: food hero / chopstick lift, craving / mid-bite joy, the bowl / texture & oil, people / sharing the table, mood & place / the spread. Please share relevant food photography samples with your offer, ideally hot dishes, steam or noodles.
