Logo Redesign/Reimagination

Summary

Original logo attached. Original logo was originally created in 2013, and it is time to dust it off and modernize it in a professional, dignified, and clean way. The core underlying narrative of the original logo must be retained, but the execution needs a massive modern upgrade. The stream of colors orbiting Earth (note: it is Earth, not Saturn) and arriving at the heart represents a vast universe of eyewear selections traveling across the internet to our home base in West Chester, OH. Our core business philosophy symbolizes that quality, selection, and maximum customer value are our bottom line. To bring this 13-year-old vision into the modern era, please use the following structured guidelines: 1. Technical Requirements • Format: Deliver the final logo as a fully responsive SVG file for ultimate scalability. • Scalability: The design must scale down crisply onto smartphone screens, mobile web headers, or favicons without blurring or turning into visual clutter. 2. Typography & Layout Refresh • Ditch the Brown Text: Move away from the heavy brown color for the brand name. Please use a premium, professional corporate color (such as navy blue, deep slate gray, or black). You can see the color palate from the image of the site landing page. We are eliminating contacts from our site at this time focusing on street eyewear, sunglasses, and ANSI standard safety glasses. • The "E" Character: I want to use a stylized, recognizable Snellen Optician Font for the opening "E" in Eyeglass, anchoring the logo in the optical industry. We might even tip it forward some as a nod to the universe. We've chosen the font Optician Sans, available for free online. • Readability: Keep the rest of the text in a highly legible, clean, modern upper/lower-case sans-serif font that pairs beautifully with the Snellen "E". The original Snellen Font (and exam chart) are sans serif. • Creative Option: Please explore turning the "O" in Universe into a subtle "OO" silhouette to mimic the front of an eyeglass frame, seamlessly blending the text with our industry, or replacing the “heart” icon with the “OO”. 3. Upgrading the Visual Elements (No More Clutter) • Replace the Blocks with Eyewear Silhouettes: Completely remove the jagged, scattering 3D pixel squares and trailing dots from the 2013 design. Instead, initiate the color stream with a clean sequence of four flat, minimalist, vector line-art eyewear silhouettes (or suggest alternatives). • The 4 Featured Frame Styles (From largest to smallest): 1. Soft Rectangle (signifying everyday utility and value) 2. Classic Double-Bridge Aviator (signifying timeless style and sunglasses options) 3. Geometric Round (signifying modern and retro trends) 4. Distinctive Wayfarer (completing the diverse unisex selection) • The Orbital Stream & Color Gradient: Arrange these frame shapes so they overlap slightly at the beginning of the trail, then seamlessly shrink, accelerate, and taper into a smooth, fluid orbital path around the Earth. The stream should transition through a vibrant color gradient, culminating in a striking color for the target destination heart. We are not interested in any "social signaling" for gay organizations using the "rainbow" of colors so avoid the connection.
