Do not send emails outside of upwork. ## Project We are looking for an experienced **logo and brand identity designer** to create a new visual identity for an established **family/general medical practice**. The practice is currently operated by another doctor and is being transferred to a new owner. As part of this transition, we want to establish a new identity for the practice while maintaining the sense of **trust, continuity and local connection** that patients associate with a long-established medical practice. **Location:** Eichwalde, Brandenburg, Germany The new identity should feel like the beginning of a new chapter—not a corporate rebrand or a completely impersonal new medical center. ## Brand personality We want the visual identity to communicate: * Trust * Competence * Warmth and approachability * Continuity and reliability * Professionalism * A strong connection to the local community * Modern healthcare without feeling cold, technological or corporate The practice should feel like **a doctor patients know and trust**, rather than a large medical corporation. The design should be **timeless rather than trendy**, with enough character to be recognizable and memorable. ## Potential local inspiration: the oak A well-known symbol of Eichwalde is the **old oak tree**. The name Eichwalde itself relates to oak woodland ("Eiche" = oak). An oak could therefore provide an interesting conceptual foundation for the identity—not simply because it represents the town, but because it can communicate ideas that are particularly appropriate for a Hausarzt practice: **Roots → connection to the local community and continuity** **Longevity → a practice that patients can rely on for many years** **Strength → stability and professional competence** **Growth → health, life and generations of patients** **Shelter → a sense of security, care and trust** We are interested in seeing whether these ideas could inspire a sophisticated visual symbol or design language. **However, a tree is absolutely not required.** We do not want a literal or generic "oak tree logo." We are completely open to a concept with **no tree whatsoever** if the designer believes another visual direction better communicates the personality of the practice. The designer should feel free to explore typography, abstract symbolism, monograms, local references or entirely different concepts. ## Design approach We are looking for **a strong brand identity rather than simply a decorative logo**. The logo should be recognizable and distinctive while remaining simple enough to reproduce at very small sizes. It needs to work equally well on a doctor's letterhead and on the exterior of the practice, and should remain recognizable when reproduced in one color.
