Long-Term Animator for Short-Form Character Series — 8 Episodes/Month
Worldwide
We are looking for a talented animator to produce an ongoing short-form animated series featuring three established characters: Pancho — a funny, expressive talking character Sombra — Pancho’s silent dog companion Rippy — their robotic rover companion The series combines comedy, positive Christian messages, and awareness of dog rescue and animal welfare. Episodes will be published on TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts. Strong comedic timing is extremely important. You should understand pauses, reactions, facial expressions, visual humor, punchline delivery, and the fast pacing required to hold attention on social media. What We Provide We provide: Completed episode scripts Established character designs and references Final voice recordings Creative direction and feedback If final voice acting is not ready when production begins, scratch dialogue may be used to create the storyboard and animatic. The animator will be responsible for taking each approved script from the storyboard and animatic stage through final animation, compositing, sound design, captions, and delivery. Monthly Scope and Budget We need eight completed episodes per month for a total monthly budget of $1,150. Four basic episodes: Approximately 30–60 seconds, primarily featuring Pancho talking in one location with limited movement and few or no scene changes Four advanced episodes: Approximately 30–60 seconds with character interactions, actions, props, different camera angles, backgrounds, and scene changes Existing environments and reusable assets should be used whenever appropriate to maintain consistency and make the monthly workflow efficient. Production Pipeline We provide the approved episode script. We provide final voice acting or scratch dialogue. You create the storyboard and animatic, including the shots, pacing, reactions, actions, and comedic timing. Final voice acting is added if scratch dialogue was initially used. You design any new environments or unique props required for the episode. You create consistent story panels based on the storyboard and established character designs. You generate or animate the final video using the story panels, animatic, character references, and voice acting. You complete the compositing, sound design, captions, and final edit. AI-Assisted Animation AI-assisted animation is welcome if it helps you work efficiently. However, the finished videos must not look obviously AI-generated. We do not want: Inconsistent character appearances Warped characters, objects, or environments Unnatural movement Flickering backgrounds Random visual changes between shots Poor lip-sync or facial expressions Generic or lifeless animation The final result should feel intentional, consistent, expressive, and professionally edited. Ideal Candidate You should: Have experience creating character-based animation Understand comedy and visual storytelling Understand TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts Be able to maintain character consistency across an ongoing series Be comfortable producing both simple talking scenes and more involved episodes Handle the production process from storyboard through final delivery Respect the project’s Christian and dog-rescue mission Communicate reliably and meet deadlines Be interested in a long-term creative partnership Final Deliverables Each episode must be: Delivered in vertical 9:16 format Ready to publish on TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts Professionally edited with dialogue, sound effects, and captions Free from watermarks Delivered with agreed-upon source files and reusable assets How to Apply Please include: The words “Pancho, Sombra, and Rippy” at the beginning of your proposal Examples of your best character-animation and comedic work Examples of short-form social content you have created A brief explanation of your production process The animation and AI tools you use Confirmation that you can produce eight episodes per month for a total budget of $1,150 Your typical turnaround time for both basic and advanced episodes Confirmation that you handle storyboarding, environments, sound design, captions, compositing, and final editing An explanation of how you maintain character consistency when using AI We will begin with one paid trial episode. If the animation quality, comedic timing, communication, and character consistency are a good fit, this will become consistent monthly work with the opportunity to help shape a growing original series with a meaningful mission.
