Full-Stack Developer (Node.js / React / Python) — Contract, Starting With One Scoped Project About us Founding.dev builds custom software that replaces expensive SaaS subscriptions. Instead of paying per seat for Salesforce, DocuSign, ServiceTitan and a dozen other tools, our clients get their own applications that they own outright, and we host and maintain them for a flat monthly fee. More at https://founding.dev The work We need an extra pair of hands on client projects. You'd be building and shipping features on real customer systems: internal tools, workflow automation, integrations, occasional AI-assisted features. This starts as one well-scoped short-term project so we can both see how the working relationship goes. If it goes well, there's steady ongoing work — we have a pipeline of client builds and need people we can hand things to without babysitting. Stack Node.js (backend services, APIs) React (frontend) Python (scripting, data work, automation, AI integrations) Postgres, REST/webhooks, third-party API integrations You don't need to be equally deep in all three, but you should be comfortable owning a feature end to end without waiting for someone to hand you a spec for each layer. What we're looking for 3+ years actually shipping production web apps, not tutorials or side projects Can read an existing codebase and make changes without breaking things Writes clear updates without being chased for them. Tells us early when something is going to slip Comfortable asking a direct question when requirements are ambiguous instead of guessing for three days Can work independently. We give context and scope, not line-by-line instructions How we work One short standup call every working day, plus solid overlap with PST business hours — that part is not flexible, so please don't apply if your schedule can't take it. Outside of standup we work async. We'll give you a clear scope, a deadline and a point of contact. We check in on progress, not on hours. Deliverables over timesheets.
