Looking for a Romance Editor for Copy Editing, Proofreading & Polishing

PROOFREADER / COPY EDITOR JOB POST Job Title: Romance Fiction Editor – Copy Editing, Proofreading & Polishing Job Post Hello, I’m looking for an experienced fiction editor to provide copy editing, proofreading, and light prose polishing for a completed steamy contemporary small-town romance novel. The manuscript has already been completed and revised. I’m not looking for a major rewrite or developmental edit. I need an editor who can improve grammar, punctuation, clarity, consistency, awkward phrasing, and unnecessary repetition while preserving the author’s voice and the emotional tone of the story. Experience editing contemporary romance, small-town romance, or steamy romance is strongly preferred. Edits should be performed in Microsoft Word using Track Changes and following the Chicago Manual of Style (CMOS). Please only apply if you are experienced with CMOS. I’m looking for someone who communicates well, responds reliably, and can provide a reasonable turnaround time. There may be opportunities for ongoing work on future romance novels if we work well together. The starting rate is $0.003/word for copy editing and proofreading.
