MEP Designer – Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing | Florida Projects

We are looking for one experienced MEP designer who can independently design all three disciplines: Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing. We are NOT looking to hire separate electrical, mechanical, and plumbing designers. If you cannot personally produce complete MEP drawing sets covering all three trades, please do not apply. We are a Florida engineering and construction firm looking for a reliable MEP designer for ongoing commercial and residential projects. Scope You must be able to prepare coordinated, permit-ready MEP drawings including: HVAC layouts, equipment sizing, ductwork, ventilation and mechanical schedules Electrical power, lighting, panel schedules, load calculations, single-line/riser diagrams and equipment connections Plumbing domestic water, sanitary, vent, gas where applicable, plumbing risers and fixture calculations Coordination between architectural, structural and MEP plans MEP calculations required for permitting Responses to permit comments and revisions Existing-condition/as-built plan development when required Florida Experience You must have experience designing projects under current Florida Building Code requirements and understand permitting requirements used by Florida jurisdictions. Experience with Miami-Dade, Broward or South Florida permitting is strongly preferred. Software AutoCAD is required. Revit experience is a plus, but the ability to produce accurate, coordinated permit drawings is more important. We are looking for someone we can use long term across multiple projects, not someone for a single drawing assignment.
