MT5 Expert Advisor (EA) Developer | Algorithmic Trading & Prop Firm Specialist

Project Description I am looking for an experienced MQL5 / MT5 Expert Advisor developer and algorithmic trading specialist to develop, improve, backtest, and optimize automated Forex trading systems for both live broker accounts and prop firm evaluations. I am specifically looking for someone with real experience building EAs that go beyond simply generating entry signals. The system must include professional trade execution, comprehensive risk management, drawdown protection, and realistic backtesting. Experience developing or optimizing EAs that have successfully passed prop-firm evaluations such as FTMO is highly preferred. Scope of Work The developer should be capable of: Developing custom MT5 Expert Advisors (MQL5) from detailed trading rules and specifications. Reviewing, debugging, and improving existing EA source code. Converting trading strategies into clearly defined algorithmic rules. Building automated entry, exit, stop-loss, take-profit, trailing-stop, break-even, and partial-close logic. Implementing professional risk-based position sizing. Creating strict daily loss and maximum drawdown protection. Implementing equity, balance, and floating-loss protection. Adding maximum trades, maximum exposure, and correlated-position controls. Developing trading-session and spread filters. Adding economic-news filters where required. Preventing duplicate or unintended trades. Handling broker-specific symbol specifications, spreads, commissions, swaps, slippage, and execution conditions. Performing extensive Strategy Tester backtesting and optimization. Conducting out-of-sample and forward testing to reduce overfitting. Analyzing performance including profit factor, expectancy, drawdown, win rate, risk/reward, recovery factor, and trade distribution. Optimizing the EA without simply curve-fitting historical data. Preparing the system for deployment on live MT5 accounts and VPS environments. Prop Firm Experience A major part of this project involves developing EAs capable of operating within strict prop-firm rules. The EA should be able to automatically enforce controls such as: Daily loss limits Maximum overall loss/drawdown Maximum risk per trade Maximum simultaneous exposure Daily profit/loss tracking Emergency equity protection Trading-session restrictions News-event restrictions where applicable Automatic shutdown when predefined risk thresholds are reached The goal is not to guarantee profits or guarantee passing a prop-firm challenge, but to build a robust system capable of executing the strategy consistently while respecting all defined risk limits. How you implement daily drawdown and maximum-loss protection. Your experience working with MT5 economic-calendar/news data and Strategy Tester limitations. Whether you provide full MQL5 source code upon project completion. Your estimated hourly rate or fixed project cost.
