**Maine Business Attorney Needed for Contract Review and Formal Response** We are seeking an experienced business attorney who is actively licensed to practice law in Maine. The attorney will assist our company with reviewing a contractual dispute involving a construction-related business relationship and preparing an appropriate formal response. Although direct construction-law experience is preferred, we are also interested in Maine business attorneys with substantial experience in commercial contracts, service agreements, independent contractor or subcontractor relationships, payment disputes, breach-of-contract matters, and business negotiations. **Scope of Work:** * Review the relevant agreements, correspondence, invoices, payment records, and supporting documentation. * Evaluate the parties’ respective contractual obligations. * Identify potential breaches, defenses, liabilities, and areas of legal exposure. * Prepare or revise a professional legal response to the other party or their attorney. * Recommend options for resolving the matter while protecting the company’s interests. * Assist with drafting or improving business and contractor agreements, if needed. **Required Qualifications:** * Active license to practice law in Maine. * Strong background in Maine business law and commercial contracts. * Experience with breach-of-contract, payment, vendor, contractor, or service-related disputes. * Excellent legal research, analysis, drafting, and negotiation skills. * Construction-industry experience is strongly preferred but not mandatory. * Ability to begin promptly and maintain clear communication throughout the assignment. Please provide: 1. Confirmation that you are actively licensed in Maine. 2. Your Maine Bar number and current standing. 3. A summary of your business-contract and dispute-resolution experience. 4. Any relevant construction, contractor, or subcontractor experience. 5. Your hourly rate or fixed-fee proposal. 6. Your availability and anticipated turnaround time for the initial review. The selected attorney must complete a conflict-of-interest check before confidential documents are provided.
