Make.com + Shopify + AI Systems Engineer — Sales Data Automation & Reconciliation

We operate two established consumer brands, Lume Cube and Ilios Lighting, with two separate Shopify stores. We have already begun building an internal business intelligence system using Shopify, Make.com, APIs, Google Sheets/data workbooks, product/SKU mapping, and AI. We are looking for an experienced systems engineer to audit, repair, and complete the existing Shopify sales-data foundation. This is not a greenfield project. Significant work already exists, and we want someone who will first understand what has been built and preserve anything that is working correctly rather than automatically starting over. What we need completed The project includes: Audit our existing Make.com workflows and Shopify integrations Diagnose and fix an existing Shopify/Make connection issue Complete connections for two separate Shopify stores Complete an automated Shopify financial sales feed Maintain detailed order and line-item data for product and SKU-level reporting Maintain correct DTC vs. wholesale classification Properly account for discounts, refunds and sales reversals based on Shopify event timing Reconcile detailed sales data against authoritative Shopify financial totals Identify duplicates, missing records, unmapped SKUs, stale feeds and failed imports Create visible exception reporting when data does not reconcile Validate the completed system against historical periods for which we already have known control totals Automate recurring data refreshes Document the finished architecture, workflows and troubleshooting process We already have product/SKU mapping, historical normalized datasets, an existing sales engine, Make.com workflows, a data hub, Shopify API/app work, and validation benchmarks. Important Financial accuracy and reconciliation are the priority. We are not looking for someone to simply build an attractive dashboard or an AI chatbot. The underlying numbers must first be deterministic, traceable and reconcilable to Shopify. Our philosophy is: Systems calculate → AI interprets → humans retain authority. AI capabilities will ultimately sit on top of the trusted data so management can ask questions conversationally and receive insights and recommended actions. However, AI should not calculate or invent the underlying financial metrics. Technical experience we're looking for Strong experience with: Make.com • Shopify APIs • Python • APIs/Webhooks • Data modeling • Financial data reconciliation • AI/LLM integration Experience with NetSuite, e-commerce financial data, fulfillment/3PL data, SQL/databases, or paid-media data is a plus.
