Manual QA Analyst

About the role We're looking for a detail-oriented Manual QA Analyst to help ensure our platform is reliable, intuitive and working as expected as we continue to ship new features and integrations at pace. You'll work closely with our Product and Development teams to test new releases, identify bugs and edge cases, and provide clear feedback before changes reach customers. Familiarity with test automation tools like Playwright is a plus; being comfortable reading, running, and lightly adapting existing Playwright tests will help you validate fixes and support our wider QA effort. What you'll do Test Design & Execution: Write and execute manual test cases for new features and regression cycles. Exploratory Testing: Perform deep exploratory testing to catch edge cases that automated tests miss. Bug Triage: Reproduce, document, and triage bugs with clear steps, logs, and screenshots. Leverage Automation: Run and interpret existing Playwright test suites to verify fixes and speed up releases. User Advocacy: Test customer workflows from an end-user perspective to ensure a seamless UX. Collaborate: Work with developers and product managers to clarify requirements and acceptance criteria. Process Improvement: Maintain test documentation and help scale our QA processes as the team grows. What we're looking for: Experience: 2+ years of manual QA experience, ideally focused on SaaS or web applications. QA fundamentals: A strong understanding of the bug lifecycle, test case design, and regression vs. exploratory testing. Playwright familiarity: Ability to run tests, read test scripts, and perform basic debugging. Technical skills: Comfortable using browser dev tools, API testing tools, and reading system logs. Top-tier Communication: Excellent written communication: you can describe bugs clearly so that a developer doesn’t have to ask "can you clarify?". Mindset: Strong attention to detail and a natural curiosity for finding out exactly what might break. Environment: Comfortable working in a fast-moving product environment. Nice to have: Experience with modern issue trackers like Linear or Jira. Comfortable with writing basic MySQL queries to verify data on the backend. Familiarity with React apps (component behaviour, common UI patterns) to help pinpoint frontend bugs. Exposure to GitHub and CI/CD pipelines for reviewing and testing PRs & to understand how code moves to production. Experience using AI tools (like Claude) to help write test cases, summarise bugs and speed up documentation.
