Manual QA Specialist for Multilingual SaaS Web App

We are preparing the English version of a SaaS web application for release and are looking for an experienced Manual QA Specialist for a focused QA audit. This is not a basic checklist-testing role. We need someone who can understand complete user journeys, explore edge cases, identify important risks, and produce clear, developer-ready bug reports. The product includes: - User registration, login, and onboarding - Creating, editing, and publishing public profile pages - Draft versus published content states - Responsive desktop and mobile interfaces - User roles and permission-based flows - Forms and lead-capture flows - Commerce and Stripe test-mode payments - AI-assisted product features The testing will cover the English version of the web application only. INITIAL PROJECT SCOPE This initial project is a focused eight-hour QA audit. It is not intended to provide complete coverage of every product feature. At the beginning of the project, we will provide a prioritized list of two or three critical user journeys to test. The selected journeys may include: - Registration, login, and onboarding - Creating, editing, and publishing a public profile - Verifying draft versus published content - Viewing the public page on desktop and mobile - Completing a Stripe test-mode checkout - Testing a selected role or permission flow RESPONSIBILITIES - Review the product brief and selected user journeys - Prepare a concise, risk-based testing checklist - Perform exploratory, functional, end-to-end, and usability testing - Test the selected user journeys from beginning to end - Test responsive behavior on desktop and mobile screen sizes - Perform primary testing on Chrome desktop and one real mobile device - Perform quick compatibility checks on Safari and Firefox when available - Check loading, empty, error, refresh, back-button, duplicate-submission, and interrupted-flow states - Validate relevant role and permission boundaries using dedicated QA accounts - Test Stripe payment flows using test mode only when included in the selected scope - Identify both functional problems and important usability issues - Use browser console and network tools when relevant - Prioritize issues according to severity, user impact, and business risk BUG REPORT REQUIREMENTS Every bug report must include: - A clear and specific title - Severity and user impact - Browser, device, and operating system - Relevant preconditions - Exact reproduction steps - Expected behavior - Actual behavior - Screenshot or video evidence - Console or network information when relevant FINAL DELIVERABLES - A concise testing checklist for the selected user journeys - Clear, prioritized, developer-ready bug reports - A short midpoint progress update - A final QA summary describing: - What was tested - What was not tested - Critical or blocking issues - Important usability problems - Recommended areas for the next QA round Retesting, full regression testing, and expanded browser or device coverage are not included in this initial milestone. They may be commissioned as a separate follow-up project. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE - At least 3 years of manual QA experience - Experience testing SaaS or e-commerce web applications - Strong exploratory-testing and product-thinking skills - Experience testing authentication, permissions, responsive interfaces, or payment flows - Excellent written English - Clear and detailed bug-reporting skills - Experience using Chrome DevTools - Access to at least one real mobile device - Access to multiple desktop browsers - Ability to work independently - Ability to prioritize issues by user impact and business risk NICE TO HAVE - Experience testing Stripe in test mode - Experience with Postman or basic API testing - Basic accessibility-testing knowledge - Experience testing AI-powered applications TESTING ENVIRONMENT All testing will use dedicated QA accounts, test data, and Stripe test mode. No real customer data, real payment cards, or production account changes will be used. PROJECT DETAILS - Scope: approximately eight hours of focused QA work - Expected completion: within two to three days - English version only - One independent QA specialist - This initial contract serves as a paid evaluation and focused QA audit - Strong performance may lead to additional testing, regression, and release-support projects Please answer the screening questions using specific examples from your professional experience.
