Manual QA & Usability Tester — One-Time Full Test of a B2B Fintech Web Platform
Worldwide
We're a fintech company operating a B2B Order-to-Cash platform. We need a thorough manual tester to test the entire platform once, end to end, from a real user's point of view. Desktop only. You'll test both sides. You'll receive test credentials from us and check both perspectives: (a) the business using the platform, and (b) that business's customer — the one who receives the documents, emails and payment pages. Everything that goes out must also be checked from the receiving side. What we expect: Work through every area of the platform like a real business would — with realistic, messy data (special characters, odd amounts, long names) Open and check every generated PDF and every outgoing email in detail — numbers, dates, formatting, spam folder (Gmail and Outlook) A full UI click-through: every button, menu and link — does it do what it promises? Document expected vs. actual wherever it doesn't Try to break flows with invalid and unexpected inputs; judge whether error messages are helpful For every area: what's confusing, what takes too many clicks, what could be simpler, faster or nicer — concrete suggestions only The detailed test checklist with all areas and scenarios will be shared with the selected freelancer after hiring — we don't publish our full feature set in a public job post. What this is NOT: clicking around and reporting "everything works." A report without substantial findings and improvement ideas means the job wasn't done. Out of scope: integrations with external tools — that's a separate follow-up job if this one goes well. Deliverable: one clean, well-structured Word document, delivered here on Upwork: Section A — Coverage table (based on our checklist): what you tested on each side, and the result Section B — Bugs: title, steps to reproduce, expected vs. actual result, screenshot, severity (Blocker / Major / Minor) Section C — Improvements per area: what, why, your concrete recommendation Requirements: proven experience in manual QA of web apps; extremely thorough, structured documentation. To apply: No generic proposals. Send one sample bug report from any website or app — title, steps to reproduce, expected vs. actual, screenshot, severity — plus your fixed price for the complete test. Proposals without a sample report will be ignored.
