Market Researcher — Pricing Study via Email RFQ Campaign
Worldwide
We're mapping how accounting and bookkeeping firms in Quebec price their services — individual engagements, bundled portfolios, standard packages, and à la carte add-ons. The method: a structured email RFQ campaign to a contact list we provide, with every response logged into a tracking spreadsheet we've already built. The core challenge you'll be solving: professional-services firms don't like quoting by email. They want calls, they answer with vague ranges, or they reply with their package tiers instead of the specific prices we asked for. Your job is to extract clean, comparable pricing data anyway — by following our playbook precisely and handling messy replies intelligently. What you'll do - Send templated RFQ emails to ~60–80 firms from a list we provide (light personalization only — first line) - Handle replies - Log every send, reply, and price point into our structured tracker the same day — including mapping package-tier answers to specific data points What we provide - The full contact list - Email scripts - The tracking spreadsheet (structured, with dropdowns and auto-computed fields) - A dedicated email account for sends Requirements - Excellent written English - Meticulous spreadsheet discipline — this project lives or dies on same-day, accurate logging - Ability to read French is an asset (some replies will come in French), not a requirement - No calls, no selling, no cold-calling — this is research execution, not sales --- In your cover letter (required — applications missing any of these will be declined) 1. Your approach: In 5–10 sentences, how would you maximize the response rate and data quality of an email pricing study aimed at accounting firms — knowing they prefer calls and often answer with vague ranges? Be specific: subject lines, timing, follow-up angle, how you'd handle a firm that replies "it depends, let's hop on a call." 2. Proof: One past project where you collected structured data through outreach (RFQs, surveys, lead gen, competitive research). Include real numbers: how many contacts, what response rate, what the deliverable was. 3. Handling mess: A firm replies with three package tiers and prices, but not the per-item prices we asked for. What do you do with that reply? (2–3 sentences.) 4. Start your proposal with the word "portfolio" so we know you read this post.
