Marketing Cloud Product Owner (Freelance)

Employment Type: Contract/Freelance Location: UK, Madrid, or India (Remote) About the Role We are seeking an experienced Marketing Cloud Product Owner to join a B2B transformation programme on a freelance basis, with an immediate start. This role owns the end-to-end product lifecycle for Salesforce Marketing Cloud (and Data Cloud) — from roadmap and backlog management through to delivery and adoption — acting as the bridge between marketing, CRM, data, and delivery teams. Responsibilities • Define and maintain the Marketing Cloud product roadmap, aligned with marketing and CRM strategy • Own and prioritise the product backlog; translate business needs into user stories and acceptance criteria • Collaborate with marketing, Data Cloud, CRM/Sales, analytics, and integration teams to align requirements • Drive the design of journey orchestration, segmentation, personalisation, and campaign automation capabilities • Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives) and remove delivery blockers • Define KPIs and track campaign performance, adoption, and ROI • Establish governance standards and drive user enablement through training and documentation Requirements • 5–10+ years of experience in Marketing Automation, CRM, or Digital Marketing, in a Product Owner, Product Manager, or Business Analyst capacity • Hands-on Salesforce Marketing Cloud experience in a B2B environment (required) • Demonstrated experience managing complex transformation programmes • Strong Agile/Scrum expertise (backlog management, sprint lifecycle) • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills; fluent spoken and written English • Nice to have: Eloqua experience; familiarity with GDPR and data privacy principles
