Marketing Lead – Influencer Outreach, PR & TikTok UGC Growth for Ed-Tech App
Worldwide
About Studillo Studillo is an AI-powered study app that turns lecture materials into audio podcast summaries, adaptive study plans, and smart practice tools for university and professional exam students. The AI is source-locked — it only pulls from a student's own uploaded materials, so it never hallucinates. We're pre-launch, finishing development ahead of our app store and web release. Marketing hasn't started yet — there's no brand voice, social presence, or growth channel in place. Whoever takes this role builds it from zero. The role We're hiring a Marketing Lead to take full ownership of how we get in front of students and turn that attention into app downloads. This is a hands-on, execution-first role — you'd be the only person on marketing for now, working directly with the founder. You're not managing a team under you; you're doing the outreach, the deals, and a lot of the content yourself, and reporting on what's actually working. The mandate Get Studillo in front of students everywhere they already spend time — TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, campus communities — and turn that visibility into downloads. This isn't a 12-month brand strategy deck. It's finding what actually gets students to install the app and doing more of it, fast. What you'd own Influencer outreach — find and engage relevant influencers in study, productivity, college-life, and trivia/education niches. Hand each one a marketing strategy and specific content ideas or briefs suited to their channel, then manage the relationship end to end. PR — spot press, blog, and newsletter opportunities and figure out the right angle for each one (for example, "the AI study tool that never hallucinates because it only uses your own notes"). Find the writer or outlet to pitch, and bring the deal back to the founder for approval and payment. You don't need to write the articles yourself — you need to find the story and the right person to tell it. Mascot — help develop and sponsor a Studillo mascot, and get it built into content, creator posts, and campaigns as a recognizable character students associate with the brand. UGC creators — recruit and pay student creators to film content on their own college campuses showing how they actually use Studillo. Creator partnerships — reach out to trivia YouTubers and other online creators in adjacent niches to get them talking about Studillo to their audience. Content production — produce Instagram Reels and TikTok content yourself, including AI-generated video at volume, to keep a steady stream of content hitting TikTok and driving installs. Tracking — know which influencer, creator, or piece of content is actually driving downloads, not just views or likes, so time and budget go toward what's working. What we're looking for 3–7 years of experience, ideally at a consumer app, EdTech company, Gen-Z brand, SaaS, creator-led company, or high-growth startup. Real campaigns or creator/influencer relationships you've personally run, not just "managed the Instagram account." Comfortable negotiating with creators and pitching press without a team behind you. Analytical enough to know what's converting versus what's just getting likes. What this role isn't This isn't a social media coordinator role — if your experience is mainly posting content and scheduling, this isn't the right fit. It's also not a big-team CMO role; there's no team under you yet. This is a builder role for someone who's comfortable doing the work themselves. Structure Remote, contract-to-hire — a 3-month initial contract with a clear checkpoint to move to an ongoing or full-time role, structured roughly as: Month 1: Get influencer and creator outreach moving, land the first PR conversations, kick off mascot development. Month 2: First UGC and creator content live, first press piece placed or in motion, TikTok/Instagram content rhythm established. Month 3: Scale what's working, cut what isn't, and show a clear read on what's driving downloads. To apply Include 2–3 examples of influencer, creator, PR, or UGC campaigns you've personally run, with a plain explanation of what you specifically did. Then answer in a few sentences: if you joined Studillo Monday morning with 90 days to get students downloading the app, what's the first thing you'd do? We're looking for how you think, not a polished deck.
