Marketing Program Manager for AI Conference — GTM & Project Management
Worldwide
We are looking for an experienced Marketing Program Manager to help drive the go-to-market program for an upcoming AI industry event. We already have teams responsible for marketing execution, content, speakers, and sponsorship. Your job is to make sure the overall program is on track, identify what is missing, track results, and push initiatives forward. This is not an event logistics role. You will not be responsible for venue operations, production, catering, or onsite event management. What you'll be responsible for: Marketing and GTM * Own the overall marketing plan, campaign calendar, priorities, deadlines, and dependencies. * Coordinate across email, social, paid media, content, partnerships, speakers, and other channels. * Help develop campaign ideas, audience segments, messaging angles, offers, and new ways to drive registrations. * Make sure planned campaigns are actually being launched and follow up when projects fall behind. Our marketing team will create and launch the actual content and campaigns. We need you to help determine what should happen, when it should happen, and whether it is working. Analytics and registration growth * Track registrations, traffic, conversion, campaign performance, and channel contribution. * Maintain a clear weekly view of progress against goals. * Identify underperforming campaigns, channels, or audience segments. * Recommend where we should increase activity, change direction, or test something new. Speakers, instructors, and program * Review the developing program and identify gaps in topics, speakers, instructors, companies, and audience representation. * Work with our speaker team to ensure the right speakers and instructors are being identified and approached. * Track the speaker pipeline and make sure important program gaps are being filled. * Help identify speakers, companies, and topics that strengthen both the event program and its marketability. You will not be expected to personally recruit every speaker, but you should be able to recognize what is missing and help drive the team toward filling those gaps. Community and partner outreach * Identify relevant AI and technology communities, professional groups, meetups, newsletters, associations, and promotional partners. * Conduct outreach where appropriate. * Develop opportunities to reach audiences outside our existing channels. Sponsorship coordination * Keep visibility into sponsorship progress and key deadlines. * Make sure sponsorship and marketing activities are coordinated. * Identify areas where the sponsorship team needs support, content, program information, or additional follow-up. What we're looking for: You should have strong experience in marketing program management, campaign management, or marketing project management. We're particularly interested in someone who: * Has managed complex marketing programs involving multiple teams and channels. * Understands marketing analytics and can turn numbers into recommendations. * Is comfortable holding people accountable and following up on missed deadlines. * Can contribute ideas rather than simply manage a task board. * Is comfortable working independently and taking ownership. * Has strong written and spoken English. * Can overlap significantly with U.S. Eastern Time. Experience with conferences, B2B technology, AI, developer audiences, professional communities, or event marketing is a strong plus. We are not looking for someone primarily to design ads, write every marketing email, manage social media accounts, run paid advertising campaigns, handle event logistics, or manage onsite operations. We already have specialists responsible for much of that work. We need someone who can look across the entire program and continually answer: Are we on track? What's missing? What's working? What isn't? And what needs to happen next? This will begin as a 10–20 hour per week remote engagement, with the potential for hours to increase as the event approaches. Candidates may be located globally but should have substantial availability during U.S. Eastern Time business hours.
