Marketing Specialist (part-time) Position Summary We are seeking a part-time Marketing Specialist to support our marketing and communications efforts for our non-profit, Ready To Empower. We need ongoing part-time social support, plus extra support throughout the year for specific campaigns and communications. This is an ideal role for a creative, organized, and detail-oriented marketing professional looking to gain experience while making a meaningful impact. The Marketing Specialist will work directly with the President and Vice President of Ready to Empower to assist with marketing activities, including social media management, content creation, email marketing, website updates, and communications support. This role will help increase awareness of our programs, engage supporters, and strengthen our digital presence. The ideal candidate is proactive and can take a single announcement or campaign and create an integrated campaign across all channels (organic marketing, not paid digital marketing). The hours can vary, and it depends on who we find, but to set expectations, we are looking for someone who can run our social media and post 1 or 2 posts a week, assist with marketing communications and campaign execution- about 2 campaigns a year and help with email marketing - 1 email per month if it's not part of a campaign. Responsibilities Social Media Create and schedule social media content across multiple platforms (2 posts a week) Design graphics using Canva or similar tools Write engaging captions and social media copy Monitor comments and messages and support community engagement Assist with content planning and editorial calendars Track and report on social media performance, expand our reach Content Creation & Communications Draft blog posts, newsletters, website content, and marketing materials Assist with storytelling by highlighting program impact, participants, partners, and events Support marketing campaigns and fundraising initiatives Help maintain consistent branding and messaging across channels Email Marketing Create and format email campaigns and newsletters Manage email lists and audience segmentation Monitor email performance and recommend improvements Website Support Update website content, images, and program information Publish blog posts and news updates Help ensure website content remains accurate and current Administrative Marketing Support Maintain marketing assets and content libraries Assist with event promotion and communications Support reporting and basic marketing analytics Qualifications 1–3 years of marketing, communications, social media, or related experience Strong written communication and content creation skills Experience with social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Ticktock and YouTube Familiarity with Canva and basic graphic design Experience with email marketing platforms such as Mailchimp or similar Comfortable updating websites (Squarespace experience is a plus) Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and meet deadlines Preferred Qualifications Nonprofit experience Basic video editing skills Experience creating social media reels and short-form video content Knowledge of fundraising or donor communications Position Details Part-time, remote Flexible schedule (approximately 10-15 hours per month) Contractor position Compensation based on experience About Ready to Empower Ready to Empower (RTE) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to expanding access to mental health support through sustainable mental health programs, education, and partnerships.
