# Legal Marketing & Business Development Specialist **Part-Time Contract Role | $20–$30 per hour or agreed flat fee | Potential for long-term work** I am seeking an experienced legal marketing professional to help grow my law firm’s visibility and attract new clients. This is a hands-on role for someone who can develop thoughtful marketing strategies, create polished content, manage outreach, and follow through consistently. This is not simply a content-generation position. I am looking for someone who brings sound judgment, creativity, legal-industry knowledge, and a clear understanding of how to turn marketing efforts into qualified inquiries. The right person should be able to produce work that goes well beyond generic AI-generated content. ## Responsibilities - Develop and carry out a practical marketing and business-development plan for the firm. - Create polished, useful content for LinkedIn and other appropriate social media platforms. - Plan and maintain a consistent content and posting calendar. - Draft and coordinate email communications to potential clients, former clients, professional colleagues, and personal contacts, when appropriate. - Develop newsletters, client updates, referral communications, and outreach campaigns. - Help strengthen the attorney’s personal brand and the law firm’s online presence. - Identify appropriate audiences, referral sources, and outreach opportunities. - Repurpose legal knowledge into clear, engaging content without making it sound generic or automated. - Track outreach, engagement, inquiries, and other meaningful results. - Recommend improvements based on performance. - Ensure communications are professional, accurate, confidential, and consistent with applicable attorney-advertising and solicitation rules. ## Required Qualifications - Prior experience marketing a law firm, attorney, or legal-services business. - Excellent written and spoken English. - Strong proofreading skills and close attention to detail. - Demonstrated experience with content creation, email marketing, LinkedIn, and social media management. - Ability to write in a polished, natural, and credible voice. - Familiarity with legal-marketing ethics, confidentiality requirements, and attorney-advertising restrictions. - Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and communicate reliably. - Strong judgment about what should—and should not—be included in public-facing legal content. - Willingness to learn the firm’s practice, audience, voice, and business goals. Experience using AI tools is welcome, but the final work must reflect genuine strategy, research, editing, creativity, and human judgment. Applicants whose services are limited to producing basic content through ChatGPT, Claude, or templates will not be a fit. ## Preferred Qualifications - Experience generating measurable leads or referral opportunities for a law firm. - Knowledge of email-marketing platforms, contact-list organization, social scheduling tools, and basic performance reporting. - Experience creating campaigns for **[personal injury and business law firms]**. - Familiarity with the **Los Angeles, CA ** legal market. - Ability to help improve website copy, attorney profiles, and client-facing materials. ## Compensation and Engagement Compensation is **$20–$30 per hour or an agreed flat fee**, depending on experience and the proposed scope of work. This will begin as a limited trial project or part-time contract engagement. If the work is strong and produces meaningful results, there is an opportunity for an ongoing, long-term position. Any compensation arrangement will be structured in accordance with applicable professional-responsibility rules and will not involve improper fee-sharing or payment for recommendations. ## To Apply Please provide: 1. A short introduction describing your legal-marketing experience. 2. Examples of content or campaigns you personally created for attorneys or law firms. 3. A brief explanation of how you would market a **[General Practice law concentrating on personal injury and business law** to prospective clients and referral sources. 4. Any measurable results from previous work, such as increased inquiries, engagement, referrals, or website traffic. 5. Your proposed hourly rate or flat-fee package. 6. Your availability and anticipated turnaround time. 7. Two professional references, preferably from attorneys or legal-industry clients. Please clearly explain which parts of each example you personally handled. Generic proposals or applications that appear entirely AI-generated will not be considered. **Optional paid trial assignment:** Shortlisted applicants may be asked to complete a small paid project, such as reviewing the firm’s current marketing and proposing a 30-day outreach and content plan.
