Match Two Datasets Using Meaning

The idea behind the project is to create a crosswalk between two different sets of data for companies: TICKER_Proxy_Metrics_Unique.xlsx and TICKER_Metrics_Combined.xlsx The columns that should be matched are proxy_standardized_metric (from the Proxy metrics sheet) and standardized_metrics (from the Combined sheet). You will add columns in the Proxy spreadsheet if they match any of the metrics listed in the Combined spreadsheet. Importantly, the names will not match perfectly or by fuzzy matching. Instead, you need to infer and understand the meaning of the metrics. To aid with this, I suggest using Claude as a first pass. In total, there are ~2,500 proxy spreadsheets to check.
