The Product A slim, ergonomic 6061-T6 aluminium card holder featuring: A proprietary fan-out lever mechanism — a pivoting rocker-style trigger that fans 6-7 cards out in a staircase spread when pressed Contoured, tapered body (pebble/guitar-pick cross-section) with polished chamfer bevel MagSafe magnetic ring on the back RFID blocking Laser-engraving-ready face Modular accessory compatibility (money clip, coin tray, NFC sleeve — future phases) What We Need From You Milestone 1 — Concept & Mechanism Design Evaluate and propose 2-3 mechanism concepts for the fan-out trigger (cam-and-slider, flexure, or original approach) Patent-aware design — must not infringe on existing wallet mechanism patents (Fantom, Secrid, Ekster) Concept sketches, feasibility assessment, and recommended mechanism direction Manufacturing strategy for India-based production Milestone 2 — Detailed CAD Design Full 3D CAD model, part-level and assembly (native files + STEP + IGES) Final mechanism design including spring or equivalent element Tolerance stack-up analysis DFM review for CNC machining and anodising in India Milestone 3 — Manufacturing Package Complete 2D manufacturing drawings with tolerances and GD&T EBOM and full BOM in Excel Assembly documentation and exploded views Vendor shortlist with quotations from Indian manufacturers (Pune MIDC preferred or equivalent) Technical support during vendor discussions and prototype manufacture Milestone 4 — Prototype Evaluation & Revision Review physical prototype against design intent Identify and resolve tolerance, mechanism feel, and fit issues Issue Revision-B drawings and updated files Milestone 5 — Production-Ready Package Final production drawings Final BOM optimised for batch manufacture What We're Looking For Demonstrated experience with spring-loaded or cam-driven mechanisms — not just static CAD India-based with active manufacturing vendor relationships (CNC machining, anodising, spring sourcing) Experience with consumer product development — mechanism feel, ergonomics, and premium finish matter here, not just dimensional accuracy Patent-awareness built into your design process from Day 1 Native CAD files in NX, SolidWorks, or Fusion 360 — full IP transfers to client on final payment Not a Fit If: You are purely a CAD draughting service with no mechanism engineering experience You have no India manufacturing connections You cannot support prototype review in person or via a local vendor
