Menu Graphic Designer/Editor

1. JOB SUMMARY We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Menu Graphic Designer / Editor to design and develop a new restaurant menu based on concepts and visual directions provided by our team. All essential menu content will be provided by the company, including: Dish names Food descriptions Food images Prices Logo and brand materials Menu structure and required information The Editor's main responsibility is to turn the provided materials into a professional, attractive, premium and consistent menu design that follows the concepts and requirements given by the company. 2. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Menu Design & Layout Create the overall visual concept and layout of the new menu according to the company's requirements. Arrange dish names, descriptions, images and prices in a clear and attractive way. Develop different page layouts where appropriate while maintaining overall brand consistency. Ensure the menu is easy to read and practical for restaurant guests. Create a visually balanced combination of typography, images, spacing and graphic elements. Maintain consistency across all menu pages. Creative Development Translate the company's ideas and references into professional visual designs. Propose creative design solutions when necessary. Adjust layouts based on feedback from the management team. Ensure the final design reflects the desired restaurant positioning and atmosphere. Create a premium and modern visual presentation suitable for a Turkish restaurant. Image Editing Edit and optimize provided food photos for menu use. Adjust cropping, composition, brightness, contrast and image positioning when necessary. Ensure food images are presented attractively and consistently. Retouch images when required while maintaining a realistic appearance. Final Artwork Prepare final menu files suitable for: Professional printing Digital menu Social media / online use Ensure correct dimensions, resolution, margins, typography and file formats. Organize and deliver editable source files together with final exported files. 3. WHAT WE PROVIDE The company will provide: Complete menu content Dish names Food descriptions Prices Food photos Logo / branding materials Design references and examples Required menu size and format Specific concepts and visual directions Feedback and revisions from management You are NOT required to create the food content, write descriptions, set prices or photograph the dishes. Your role is primarily to design, edit, organize and visually present the materials professionally. 4. REQUIREMENTS Must Have Proven experience in graphic design, editorial design or menu design. Strong knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and/or Illustrator. Experience with InDesign is an advantage. Good understanding of typography, composition, spacing and visual hierarchy. Strong attention to detail. Ability to follow a specific design concept and brand direction. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Good communication skills and ability to receive and implement feedback. Preferred Previous experience designing restaurant / F&B menus. Understanding of premium restaurant branding. Experience with food photography editing. Good sense of color, typography and visual composition. Portfolio demonstrating previous menu, restaurant or hospitality design work. 5. WORKING PROCESS The expected workflow will generally be: 1. Company provides: Content + images + prices + design requirements + references 2. Editor develops: Initial design concept / sample pages 3. Management reviews: Feedback and required adjustments 4. Editor revises: Layout, typography, images and visual elements 5. Final approval: Complete menu design 6. Final delivery: Print-ready files + digital files + editable source files 6. IMPORTANT EXPECTATION We are looking for someone who can execute a concept professionally, not simply place text and images into a template. The successful candidate should have a strong visual sense and be able to understand: What makes a food menu look premium How to make dishes visually appealing How to guide the customer's attention How to balance images, descriptions and prices How to create consistency across an entire menu How to make a menu look professional both digitally and in print 7. PORTFOLIO Applicants are required to provide a portfolio or examples of previous work, especially: Restaurant menus Food & beverage designs Editorial layouts Branding / graphic design Food photography editing Applications without a portfolio may not be considered. 8. DELIVERABLES The final project should include: Complete menu design Print-ready PDF Digital PDF High-resolution exported pages/images when required Editable source files Properly organized design files and linked assets 9.
