Metabase Dashboard Developer for Business Intelligence Reporting

We are looking for an experienced Metabase developer to create clean, accurate, and user-friendly business intelligence dashboards from our existing data. The freelancer will work with our team to understand reporting needs, connect Metabase to SQL-based data sources, define the required metrics, and turn the data into clear dashboards that support better decision-making. Responsibilities: - Connect and configure Metabase with existing data sources - Review the available data structure and identify any gaps - Write and optimize SQL queries, models, and saved questions as needed - Build interactive KPI dashboards with date controls, filters, and drill-down capabilities - Create clear charts and reports for business users - Validate dashboard calculations against source data - Improve dashboard and query performance - Provide a short handoff explaining the dashboard structure and metric logic Required experience: - Strong hands-on experience with Metabase - Advanced SQL skills - Experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL - Strong understanding of KPI reporting, dashboard design, and data visualization - Ability to communicate clearly and work independently Acceptance criteria: - The agreed dashboards and KPIs are completed in Metabase and available in the designated environment - Filters, date controls, and drill-down interactions work correctly - KPI values are validated against agreed source-data samples - Dashboard pages and underlying queries load reliably with reasonable performance - Metric definitions, assumptions, and any custom SQL are documented - Any issues identified during final review are resolved before handoff Please include examples of relevant Metabase dashboards or similar BI work in your proposal.
