Microsoft Access Developer Needed to Enhance Existing Inventory Management Application

We are looking for an experienced Microsoft Access / VBA Developer to improve and extend an existing Access-based inventory and materials management application. The application is already in use. We are looking for a developer who can understand the existing database and VBA code and implement several targeted improvements. Key Tasks - Main Menu / UI: Create a user-friendly menu that opens automatically when the Access application starts and provides access to the main functions. - FTP Inventory Data: Retrieve current stock/inventory data from an FTP server using login credentials and integrate/link the provided data file into Access. - Purchase Orders by Email: Purchase orders are currently generated as Access reports. Add functionality to review/approve an order and then send it directly by email, ideally as a PDF attachment. - UDI Barcode Processing: Implement parsing of UDI (Unique Device Identification) barcodes. The UDI code contains the product/item number and other information that needs to be split into separate data fields and processed within Access. What We’re Looking For Strong experience with Microsoft Access, VBA, forms, reports, queries and database development is essential. Experience with FTP integration, Outlook/email automation, barcode processing, UDI or GS1 standards would be a strong advantage. This is an existing application, so we are specifically looking for someone comfortable with reviewing and improving existing Access, rather than building a new system from scratch.
