Microsoft Azure Server Administrator

What We Need We need an experienced Microsoft Azure Systems Administrator to manage an existing Azure server environment. The environment currently includes: Microsoft Azure Azure Virtual Machines Ubuntu/Linux servers A separate database server; the database technology has not yet been confirmed Two current administrators: The administrator’s role will be limited, for now, to server and Azure infrastructure management, not application programming or application support. Scope of Work The person should handle: An initial review of the Azure environment Assessment and stabilization of the virtual machines Ongoing Ubuntu/Linux server maintenance Security updates and operating-system patching Server monitoring, performance, storage, and availability Azure networking, firewall rules, and access controls Backup review and recovery planning Troubleshooting server outages or infrastructure problems Emergency support when a serious issue occurs Review of the separate database server at the infrastructure level Clear documentation of the servers, access, configuration, and maintenance procedures Coordination with two current administrators. The person should not be hired to modify or troubleshoot the software application at this stage.
