Motion Graphics Designer for Annual Highlight Video (Freelance)

We’re producing an annual highlight video that will combine interview footage, b-roll, and motion graphics to tell a clear, engaging story about an organization’s impact over the past year. We’re looking for a motion graphic designer who can bring a clean, modern, professional visual language to the edit. Scope of Work You will: Design & animate on-screen titles, lower thirds, speaker name/role cards Create section intro cards / chapter transitions (e.g., “Impact,” “Programs,” “Partners”) Design and animate simple infographics / data callouts (stats, figures, key outcomes) Develop a cohesive motion style (typography, color blocking, simple iconography) that aligns with a professional, mission-driven organization Add subtle animated accents to support storytelling (e.g., line reveals, shape wipes, overlays) Prepare motion assets to be easily integrated into Premiere Pro / Final Cut (or provide final rendered elements with alpha where needed) Deliver export-ready graphic packages and any source files (After Effects, project files, and organized folders) Requirements Strong portfolio showcasing: Motion graphics for branded or corporate / nonprofit videos Clean typography, layout, and hierarchy Use of motion to support narrative (not just flashy effects) Proficiency in After Effects (and related tools you use in your workflow) Experience creating graphics that work with live-action interview footage Ability to follow an existing color palette and basic visual direction Strong sense of timing, pacing, and subtle animation Reliable communication and ability to hit agreed deadlines Nice to Have: Experience working on annual reports, impact videos, or event recaps Comfort providing design suggestions based on the script and rough cut Familiarity with delivering templates that can be reused or adapted What We’ll Provide Rough cut or reference edit of the annual video Script or outline, plus notes on key moments to highlight Brand guidelines: colors, fonts, visual references Examples of previous videos or inspiration links for style reference How to Apply Please respond with: A brief intro about your experience with similar projects Links to 3–5 relevant motion graphics pieces, ideally: Title/lower third/infographic-heavy work
