Job Title: NOC Engineer (VoIP / Telecommunications) Job Type: [Full-Time / Shift-Based] Experience Level: Entry Level / Early Career About the Role We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Network Operations Center (NOC) Engineer to join our technical team. In this role, you will be on the front lines of monitoring system health, maintaining network uptime, and responding to technical incidents. No prior VoIP experience? No problem! If you have a solid foundation in basic IT concepts and a desire to learn, our experienced team will provide comprehensive hands-on training on our VoIP platforms and telecommunications systems. What You’ll Do System & Network Monitoring: Actively monitor network tools, alerts, and dashboards to detect potential issues before they impact customers. Incident Management: Handle initial triage for support tickets, perform basic Level-1 troubleshooting, and resolve technical issues. Escalation & Collaboration: Gather diagnostic data (logs, ticket details) and escalate complex issues to senior engineers when needed. Documentation: Keep detailed notes in our ticketing system and assist in maintaining internal knowledge base documentation. Continuous Learning: Participate in team training sessions to build expertise in VoIP protocols, call routing, and telecommunications infrastructure. Qualifications & Skills Requirements (Must-Haves) Basic IT / Networking Knowledge: Understanding of fundamental concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, IP routing, basic operating systems, and hardware). Problem-Solving Ability: Strong analytical skills with a methodical approach to troubleshooting technical problems. Communication Skills: Clear written and verbal communication skills for tracking support requests and collaborating with the team. Eagerness to Learn: A proactive mindset and enthusiasm for developing new skills in networking and telecommunications. Shift Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible shifts [if applicable, e.g., night shifts, weekends, or rotation] to support 24/7 NOC operations. Preferred (Nice-to-Haves) Note: These are not required—we will train the right candidate! Exposure to VoIP/SIP fundamentals, PBX platforms, or telecommunications protocols. Familiarity with Linux/Unix command-line interfaces. Experience with Zendesk ticketing system and network monitoring tools. Familiarity with Asterisk PBXs
