Narrative Writer — Editorial Storyteller & Creative Writer

Their tasks will be: * Write additional Substack content between archival-letter releases: notes, commentary, observations, short pieces, and other supplemental material. * Develop/write the monthly physical mail-club correspondence. * Conceptualize accompanying imagery, documents, excerpts, and other physical-mail elements. * Maintain consistency with the established Pause & Wonder voice, fictional universe, lore, and aesthetic. * Help develop new narrative/content ideas within the existing world. * Collaborate with me as the creative director; I provide the overall direction, approve concepts, and have final editorial approval. Success will be measured by: 1. New subscribers joining 2. Existing subscribers staying, not unsubscribing • Writing consistently feels like it belongs unmistakably to Pause & Wonder. • Content is compelling enough that subscribers genuinely want to keep reading. * Substack content gives subscribers meaningful value beyond the archival letters. * Physical correspondence feels intentional, collectible, and worth receiving. * They reliably produce high-quality work with minimal hand-holding. * They strengthen and expand the world without contradicting established lore. * Content consistently meets deadlines and maintains a high editorial standard. Fixed or hourly. Will only be a handful of hours each month.
