Native French (France) Evaluator for AI-Generated Speech

We are recruiting native speakers of French as spoken in France to evaluate AI-generated speech. This is a paid project. Evaluators who produce reliable work may be invited to later batches. What you will do - Listen to short AI-generated speech samples on our secure external evaluation page. - Complete the assigned task, such as rating naturalness, intelligibility, pronunciation, prosody, or audio quality. - Compare audio samples and mark specific words or time points when required. - Follow written instructions and report any technical problem. - Optionally join a short paid debrief interview after the task. Who we are looking for - French is your first language. - You grew up mainly in France before age 12. - For this pilot, we are not recruiting Canadian, Belgian, or Swiss French evaluators. - You have headphones and can work in a quiet environment. - You can follow instructions carefully and communicate in English. - Previous speech evaluation or language annotation experience is helpful, but not required. Role separation Please tell us if you have written, reviewed, or recorded any material for this project. You will not be asked to evaluate items that you helped create. Selection process 1. Answer the screening questions below. 2. Join a 15–30 minute Upwork interview about your language background, equipment, availability, and rate. 3. If selected, start an Upwork contract and complete a small, real, first batch. 4. If the first batch passes quality review, continue to the formal evaluation batches. Payment - Evaluation rate: USD 15-20 per hour. - Assigned training, task work, and debrief work after the contract starts are paid. - The interview is only for recruitment and will not require a usable work sample. - If we request a reading, recording, or evaluation sample that may be used by the project, it will be assigned and paid after the contract starts.
