Native Icelandic Translator for Paid Media Ad Copy

We are a US-based digital marketing agency seeking a native Icelandic translator to support paid media campaigns targeting customers in Iceland. Most assignments will involve translating and reviewing short-form advertising copy from English into Icelandic, or proof reading Icelandic language ad copy, for platforms such as Google Ads and Meta. This work requires more than direct translation: the Icelandic copy must sound natural, preserve the original message and intent, and remain persuasive within advertising character limits. **Work may include:** * Translating paid search and social media ad copy from English into Icelandic * Reviewing existing Icelandic ad copy for accuracy and natural phrasing * Localizing messaging, offers, and calls to action for an Icelandic audience * Adapting copy when a direct translation would sound awkward or unclear * Working within platform-specific character limits * Flagging cultural, linguistic, or messaging issues * Maintaining consistent terminology and tone across campaigns **Requirements:** * Native Icelandic speaker * Strong written fluency in English * Professional translation or localization experience * Strong attention to nuance, tone, and concise wording * Ability to complete relatively small assignments reliably and on schedule Experience translating marketing, advertising, or paid media copy is strongly preferred. Familiarity with Google Ads or Meta advertising is a plus. **Project Structure** The initial assignment will involve translating and reviewing a defined set of advertising copy. Additional assignments may follow as campaigns are updated, expanded, or tested.
